Awww….Monday

Hi everyone! We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays.

Joanie is posing with the books I am currently reading. An old one, P.S. Jack Parr by Jack Parr from 1983. I never saw him perform on tv, but I thought it would be an interesting read and it is. Did you know he helped rescue some baby lions?

And I am also reading a new release, Look For Me There by Luke Russert, son and only child of Tim Russert. He writes about trying to follow in his dad’s footsteps as a journalist and eventually finding himself through a three-year trip all over the world.

Rosie will be here with all the latest news tomorrow and a simple craft made out of an old t-shirt.

  1. Well, mama remembers Jack. Yes, long ago. Very interesting man, perhaps the book will reveal his great humor.

  2. My Mom is older than dirt and remembers the Jack Parr show on TV……didn’t know about him being a rescuer though – WOO HOO! A craft with an old t-shirt? Is it a tent??????

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. It is amazing that some of the older TV personalities and movie stars led a very good life and did a lot of good. Been there the ones who are notorious for not so good. A lot like today I guess.

  3. I always like reading about the personalities of older times. Rosie, I’ll bet you’re busting to tell on someone!

  4. Charlee: “Our Dada just finished something called ‘All the Light We Cannot See’ which he says was quite good.”
Chaplin: “I’m not sure how useful light that we can’t see would be.”
Charlee: “Maybe it’s about how humans can’t see in the dark very well.”
    Chaplin: “Maybe …”
Oona: “OONA CAN SEE IN THE DARK LIKE NOBODY’S BUSINESS, BECAUSE OONA IS A NINJA! And also, being a cat helps.”

  5. Joanie ~ you are adorable and sweet photo ~ being ‘among books’ is a great place to be ~ Xo

Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

  9. Ooh, looks like you’ve got some terrific books. Jack Parr was a genius back in his heyday. And we’ve always been fans of Luke Russert-so loved his Dad. I’m going to have to put that book on my library list. Happy reading. I’m currently reading The Wisdom of Morrie. Talk about an amazing read!

  10. Awww. thank you for posing, Joanie.

Jack Paar, like most of those in the early days of TV, can tell some amazing stories i’m sure.

I hope you have a blessed and beautiful week.

  11. You sure do read a lot! It’s great to keep your mind active, not to mention all the thimgs you learn. Good job, Joanie for protecting your Mom’s books.
