Another Hopping Monday

Hi everyone! We are joining Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading? , McGuffy’s Reader’s Sparks, Comedy Plus ” Awww…..Monday and Mewsic Moves Me ( hosted by Curious as a Cathy, Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked.

First, a word from Joanie.

No one wants to hire me to train gremlins so I iz studying to be a paw reader. Pawmistry: How to Read Your Cat’s Paws by Ken Ring and Paul Pomhany is good book. So far, I learned the bigger the space between your lower pad and upper pads means the more independent you are.

Thank you Joanie. I am enjoying book 3 in The Miss Cuddlywump’s Series, titled Siren Song. I love this series!

This week was a freebie week to pick your own theme on the Mewsic Moves Me so I am combining it with Sparks. I have chosen 3 songs that will hopefully brighten your day. Two are from the movie, Annie which I was obsessed with when it came out.

And the last one is Accentuate the Positive- I chose the version that was used on the tv series, Homefront.

  1. Well, Annie? How can I argue with that?! There are good messages there, even without the name. Joanie is such a cutie. I am wondering how Gremmie is doing? And, if there are more, now.

Thanks for being a part of Sparks. You are appreciated. HUGS.

    1. Thank you 🙂 Gremmie is good, dry and never eats after midnight 🙂 XO

  2. If We had any gremlins to train, We would hire you in an instant, Joanie. Only We don’t. Good luck in your new career.

    Trixie, Caspurr and Shimshi

Pee Ess: Mummy loves the song “Tomorrow”. She’s going around caterwauling it now (mol)

  3. Gosh who knew our paws could be read? Not me! Mom either…..interesting book I bet. We think the songs you chose are very PAWSITIVE!

    Love, Teddy

  4. Well that should be fun to ‘paw read’. Hope some of us let us do that. We like all those songs. So much fun to go back and hear all those. You all have a great day.

  5. No gremlins here, either. Although if i ever have grandchildren, who knows? One of them might want a gremlin and need to learn how to train one from you.

Those songs bring back good memories, that’s a love Spark!

  6. Awww on Joanie. I chuckled over the book. Pawmistry is a purrfect name.

Loved all the videos and especially the last one. I’ve not heard that in years.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday. My best to your mom. ♥

  7. Ellen,

Tell Joanie that Grelims are very difficult to train. Didn’t she see the movie? 🙂 “Annie” is a such a cute movie and it had some great mewsic. “Tomorrow” is such a delightful, cheery song. Thanks for hitting the dance floor with the 4M gang and thanks for the positive SPARKS contribution. 😀

  8. We think there might be gremlins around here – we seem to get blamed for a lot of mischief that must have been caused by those gremlins.

Mom just started a great book – The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. We have to keep reminding her to put that book down and take us for a walk.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

    1. I can train the gremlins 🙂 Sorry her reading time is cutting into your walk time.

  9. Well, that is just crazy… I think you would be a wonderful Gremlin trainer, Joanie!
Enjoyed all three of Annie songs… gotta say I love the last one!

        On to thee next story…….

  13. I loved the movie Annie when I was a child. I even had the soundtrack and I listened to it so many times that my family was practically cheering when the tape broke!
And I loved the show Homefront so much. I learned so much about history from watching it and there were so many great couples on that show. Ginger & Jeff, Al & Anne. I’m so frustrated that they won’t release it on DVD so I can buy it and binge-watch it.

    1. I have a dvd set of Homefront that I got on Amazon, it has commercials in it like someone recorded it from tv, but I still enjoy it. I had an Annie album 🙂

  14. I think that Joanie would make loads of money as a pawmist – I can just see her with a gypsy shawl around her.
Wonderful song choices Ellen, but especially Tomorrow – love this song and often find myself singing it.
    Have a great week.

    1. I will have to crochet a shawl for her 🙂 I hope you have a great week too!

  15. Love love love Annie! I could watch that movie over & over & over! Great choice! Thanks for sharing & you picked great songs from there too! You couldn’t not make a great choice because they were all wonderful. Thanks for choosing Annie! hugs

  16. Good luck with your new studies gawjus. And Prancie was lookin’ mighty fine yesfurday too. Big hugs fur all.

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Raena

  17. I never heard of Pawmistry. Pretty sure Teddy and Jack would not be happy to have me inspect their paws pads. It’s hard enough to get their manicures done.

  18. We’re not surpurrized about any kind of reading, Joanie, but I’m not so sure if I would read a paw from the wild pawsies outside 😀 The songs were very uplifting, Granny always has a tear in her eyes of Annie’s Tomorrow..sigh… Pawkisses for a Happy Day 🙂 <3

  19. I am 100% on board for the Sparks book because I”m loving that series. I am also giddy with excitement for Hot and Badgered from Shelly Laurenston, which comes out at the end of the month. The honey badgers aren”t my favorite of her shifters but I will take anything I can get from her! And I”m cautiously curious about the Linda Howard book, but I”ll wait to see what y”all think of it before I commit the time, ha.

  20. That’s funny, I bet Dexter has lots of space between his upper and lower pads. I had to look up this series, I don’t remember it but it looks okay especially with Kyle Chandler and John Slattery in it. Great song too.

  21. Pawmistry! I had to read that again to see if I was reading it right mol. Now that sounds interesting! I wonder what lots of toe floof would mean

  22. Oh I really like that song “Accentuate the Positive” — it’s very jazzy and 40s. I’m not familiar with the show Homefront but it looks interesting. I wonder if it’s on Netflix or Hulu? I’d like to maybe check it out.
I also like how “Accentuate the Positive” can just as easily be “Accentuate the Pawsitive” 🙂
Paw reading: very interesting. I work for an incredible psychic here in Austin several times a year (as an assistant in his psychic development classes and also at the psychic fair four times a year) and he’s does amazing palmistry readings. He’s also having a palmistry class this month that I’m thinking of taking. I’ll have to tell him about the paw-reading book you introduced to us.

Nice tie-in with Sparks and Monday’s Music Moves Me!

    1. Working with a psychic sounds amazing. I am not sure how accurate the paw reading is 🙂

  23. Joanie – We don’t have gremlins. But we’d be happy to have you read our paws. We’d even write an article about it for Cheeseland. Snoops and Kommando Kitty (What do you charge?)
