Another Hopping Monday

Hi everyone! Today is the day for a reflections of the A-Z Blogging Challenge post. This was my third year participating ( and completing) the challenge. I enjoyed it as always and found a few new blogs to follow that I would have not found otherwise. I was disappointed that there was no master list as the previous years. I realize it was too time consuming to manage and keep checking to make sure people posted daily, but I did miss it. I had crocheted several items before the challenge began, but I liked having to make it a priority because there are many daysΒ  I don’t have time to crochet.

I am also joining Comedy Plus’ Awww..Mondays, Book Date’s It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading and The Pet Blogger Showcase blog hops today.

I just finished Alec Baldwin’s memoir, Nevertheless. I enjoyed his first book, A Promise to Ourselves, about his custody battle for his daughter. This book was excellent too, he is not only a great actor, but also very intelligent. He seems to have learned from past mistakes and has incredible insight as to things in his past that led him to make mistakes.

Β  Sammy and Brody are wearing purple collars-did they start a club? I will tell you why tomorrow.

  1. You are so busy! I think things will start to calm down here soon…I hope.

Chloe Jo used to wear a purple calming collar. She has a new fancy one, though!

    Hugs!

    1. You are familiar with the calming collars- I just learned about them and they are a miracle. XO

  2. I really enjoyed my first A to Z Challenge, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s. Brody and Sammy, you both look stunning in purple. It’s my favorite color, so I may or may not be biased.

    1. You did a fantastic job on the challenge. Glad you like our collars πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you πŸ™‚ You may want to get some of the collars once I tell you why we have them. Hope you have a great day too!

  3. Your A to Z was such fun, i enjoyed seeing your creativity. Happy Monday!

  4. Ellen,

Congrats again on finishing the A to Z Challenge! It does take a lot of dedication and time to this annual event. I find it difficult to try to do everything in April. I learned this after my first year. It took me four years before I finally was able to get all my posts done ahead. This makes a huge difference which is the first major part of the challenge the visiting, commenting, and responding is the second half of the challenge and equalling if not more so consuming. I found some new bloggers along the journey that I would otherwise not have found and I had many repeat visitors but some of these will fall off now that the challenge is over. I know my regulars such as you will be around regardless, as that’s the way I am, too. However, some of the newcomers may decide to hang with me a little longer and that’s fine by me. The more the merrier, right? I’m looking forward to next year’s event already but first I need to take a break. lol

While Alec Baldwin is not on the same page as me politically, I do enjoy him as an actor. He’s fabulous. He plays equally well in his comedy and drama roles which I found surprising. You know how it is you sorta stereotype actors by the roles you see them in most and I was used to seeing him in portraying a villain. One of my favorite movies with him is “Malice”. Have you seen it? It’s great! Thanks for sharing your book review and for your visits!

    1. Thank you, I am already planning for next year’s challenge. I don’t know if I will ever be able to get all my posts done ahead of time, but I agree it is wise to do that. I have not seen Malice, I will look for it at the library.

  5. Purple is our favorite color so we like your collars! We’re glad Alec has learned from past mistakes. We didn’t realize he wrote those books so thanks for telling us! We just realized we hadn’t been here to say thank you on your blog. We’re very grateful and looking forward to the toys! Thanks so much!

    1. Thank you πŸ™‚ Your prizes are on their way, you should be sinking your teeth into that octopus on Wednesday.

  6. I enjoyed your A to Z Challenge this year. I’ve never participated, but perhaps one of these years I will.

I love your babies, and love hearing about your adventures.

  8. We think your A-Z challenge was wonderfur!
We like those purple collars too. Ours are green right now…but we do think we might look better in blue or red…green went on in March, stayed on for spring…but um we think we need to change them now:)

Pawppy might know that actor, but we are not…petcretary is not a big movie fan!

    1. Thank you. You probably don’t need the purple collars because you are sweet kitties that don’t act out. I bet your Pawppy knows who Alec Baldwin is πŸ™‚ XO

  9. You did great on your A-Z challenge and the toys you made were all fabulous. You are SO talented!!!! As for Brody and Sammy we know what the purple collar deal is but our lips are sealed…….we won’t tell.

    Hugs, Teddy

  12. I love purple so I love the purple cat collars. Hmm no master list for the A-Z challenge would have made it a little difficult – I guess you had to troll the sign ups page to find other blogs.

  13. I really like Alec Baldwin. I want to read his books. Maybe I can get them from the library on audio. I’ll have to check. Have a great week!

  14. We’re glad you enjoyed da A-Z challenge. Mommy said we’d never attempt dat again. MOL But it’s mostly cuz we think we have to write a whole story ifin we’re gonna post. 15. Sammy and Brody, you’ve left us feeling intrigued about your purple collars. Are they flea preventive collars, new club indicators or simply a fashion statement?!!

the critters in the cottage xo

  16. I am listening to Alex Baldwin’s book now, I didn’t know he had a first one. I am very impressed. I don’t know what I was expecting, but he really is an excellent writer, descriptive and thoughtful.

    1. I agree with everything you wrote and I highly recommend his other book too.

  17. For once, Brody looks less amused than Phoebe! We’re so glad you linked up to the Showcase – thank you. I’ve always been a big fan of Alec Baldwin – I can’t imagine what it’s like to be hounded and followed with every single second recorded. I think it would drive me crazy!

    1. I am more of a fan of his after reading this book. We love to join The Showcase πŸ™‚

  18. I enjoyed your A to Z Challenge and the others that I followed. The mystery of the the purple collars!
