Penny’s Tips Volume 24

Hi everyone!

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Did you miss me last week?

I have a great tip this week, but mean Mom wouldn’t listen to me when I offered it to her.

She made this lottery tree for a friend’s birthday party. She put a branch in a small glass bowl filled with sand. I suggested she fill the bowl with lucky pennies instead of sand, but she said the party had a beach theme. I think she was just too cheap to fill it with pennies.

Don’t you think my idea was better?

Before I go, I want to let  Bionic Basil’s family know we are praying for him and his family. He announced on Sunday that he doesn’t have long on this earth. We are very sad. To visit him, click here.

  1. I agree, Penny! I like your idea of lucky pennies. And they should all be bright, shiny new pennies too.

I’m purring lots for Basil. I was very sad to hear how ill he is.

  2. Pennies sound like a great idea but the scratch offs lottery tree is genius! We are so sad for Basil’s family. He is a furbulous friend and we are also praying for them.

  3. We were incredibly sad to hear of Basil’s diagnosis……we are praying for him. The lottery tree is a very cool idea – your Mom always has good ideas!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. I see a pussy willow branch in the glass bowl ♥ My pussy willows are still happy and I love looking at them every day… ♥ I don’t know Penny, maybe it would have gotten a little heavy with pennies in it. Great idea your Mom came up with for a birthday gift though!!!

So sad about your kitty friend, Basil. Sending prayers.

  5. Clever, Penny. I did miss you last week. So sorry about the pending loss. That’s tough.

Thank you for the fun comment on my blog. We were glad when our cucumber vines died back. ~nods~ He canned over 70 jars of pickles! As for Zima, we stocked up in a way. Drinking one a day means we only have seven total left. Sad, but I just couldn’t resist that refreshing taste on all these hot days. ~grin~ Best wishes, my dears!

  6. Clever idea with the lucky pennies. I’m happy to hear you didn’t use that sand for other purposes! Although I don’t know Basil, I all too well know that pain of losing a beloved fur baby.

  7. Penny, we think your penny idea is purrfect. Honestly, we’d rather find a beach full of pennies than sand, anyway.

We are so sad to hear this news about dear Basil. Our purrs, thoughts, and prayers are with him and his family.

  8. I like the pennies idea best. Kitties are always right about things.

Prayers for Bionic Basil. It’s always so very hard.

Have a purrfect Happy Tuesday. My best to your mom. ♥

  9. So sorry to hear about Basil. I wish his family the best.

Your idea is very good, but maybe your mom is saving those pennies for your treats.

  10. We think your lucky penny idea was great, but mom has the right way with sand for the beach theme. The lottery tree is always a wonderful gift or a raffle prize to receive. We are sad to hear about Basil. We hope everyone in Basil’s family is doing well during this horrible time. Hope you have a wonderful rest of your week.

  11. Lucky pennies would be great, and after everyone picks a lotto card from the tree, they can grab a penny so as to do the scratch off part. Brilliant!

Praying for your friend, that if it’s his time, his transition is smooth and painless.

  12. A bowl full of pennies would come in very handy for the peeps to buy a box of tasty treats for us furries – we think your idea is a great one.

We are sad to read about your friend Basil – soft woos and gentle hugs to him and his family.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
