Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
We are also joining Sammy’s Poetry Day. Here is my poem to go with this photo:
Look! A tiny door.
I wonder if it is a little store?
Maybe some forest fairies live there.
It is certainly not the home of a bear.
A place for garden gnomes to gather together
to hide in all kinds of bad weather?
I was wrong, it is the home of elves
they had lots of cookies on their shelves.
Notice I wrote HAD lots of cookies 🙂
Sammy is modeling mom’s W creation for The A-Z Blogging Challenge
Mom had to make another one because Sammy claimed this one for himself and she would never tell her little Cat Scout that he can’t have something he wants.
And here are the Friendly Fill-ins for Friday. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two.

Hey, that poem would be good to put inside a fairy garden…like in a wee mailbox. “A poem for my garden fairies:)”
That worm can go in the garden too…but in all seriousness, its it cute green worm…but I hope not a tomato worm,,MOL!
No, it is not a tomato worm, those are pretty creepy.
Those cookies are one of my human’s favorites!
Same here 🙂
Cute poem & yummy looking cookies!
Thank you 🙂
The cookies must have been to delicious to not eat them…MOL 😀 Lovely poem and worm too 😀 Pawkisses for a wonderful day 🙂 <3
Sammy’s Dad ate the cookies 🙂
Go easy on those cookies Sammy…. although they do look delicious.
He really wasn’t interested in them 🙂
What a GREAT poem!!!! I think that worm is absolutely adorable – no wonder Sammy refuses to let it go…..
Hugs, Teddy
Thank you. Sammy does like his worm 🙂 XO
Gosh, I’d give Sammy anything he wants too!
He is adorable and sweet 🙂
Sammy’s poem is just as adorable as Sammy 🙂
Thank you 🙂
What a cute poem! Cookie-baking elves are the best 🙂
Thank you 🙂
I think elves live there since water is flowing under the tree. ~grin~ Cute worm! I look forward to your fill-in answers. Number four reminds me of the mean neighbor girl and her electric toy car she never let me drive. ~sigh~ Now I never seem to get a break from driving, starting from the day I got my license. Heh… Even my father handed over the keys to his huge truck when he visited last week. At least I didn’t have to tow his camper!
I don’t like driving, I usually have my mom or hubby drive 🙂
So we are thankful mom can make plenty of worms to play with, right?
Love the “had”. That’s true around here, too.
Thank you 🙂
MOL @ “HAD” cookies….that would have happened here too! That was a super nice poem!!!
The Florida Furkids
Thank you. XO
Such a cute poem from a sweet kitty.
Cookies don’t seem to last long around here either. They magically disappear ?
Thank you 🙂 Yes, cookies disappear here too.
Cookies and a cool poem are always good together! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you. We love hopping with you 🙂
Adorable worm! Cute poem, too!
Thank you 🙂
You ate all the cookies. I would have too.
I’m all ready for Friendly Fill-ins.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your mom. ♥
We look forward to your fill-ins 🙂 XO
Ellen,
It’s obvious who isn’t the ‘Cookie Monster’ at your house. I don’t want the worm, although it’s rather cute, so it’s fine by me that he keeps it. Just tell Sammy to pass the plate of cookies this way and I’ll be happy to eat his share. 🙂

LOL! 🙂
I just love your poem! I very briefly thought of trying to make mine about those cookie elves, but didn’t know how to go about it well. You did it perfectly, though! And what a cute worm! You are too adorable, Sammy, playing with it like that. Your mom did the right thing in letting you keep that one. Purrs!
Thank you. I enjoyed your poem too. XO

He is spoiled 🙂
Nice poetry:) That little door in the tree reminds us of the little fairy homes someone made along one of our trails. We love to find worms in the garden:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
The fairy houses must be fun to spot.
Pawsome Poem!
And Sammy, you don’t look too excited about those cookies although none of us in The Tribe have a sweet tooth either. On the rare occasion that The Female Human tries to bake, Oliver will always sneak around and try to lick the butter though.
Purrs & Head Bonks,
Alberto
We all love butter 🙂
Aww, it’s so sweet when they choose a toy like that.
It is 🙂
Sammy you are so cute with your worm that mom made.
Shoko
Thank you 🙂
Good thing there’s no worms in those cookies.
Yes, good thing 🙂
Lucky Sammy got to keep his wormy.
He is spoiled 🙂
Aw what a nice mama to make another one. (They’re so cute!)
Thank you 🙂
