Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day

Hi everyone! Phoebe’ s post has been preempted today for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. Last year, when we first posted on this day, I had no idea that soon after 3 of my furbabies would be at The Rainbow Bridge for this year’s remembrance day.

Thank you to Ann of Zoolatry for these beautiful graphics and for always making a special one for each pet that leaves us. And thank you to Deb Barnes of Zee and Zoey for creating this special day to remember our beloved pets ( not that we would ever forget).

  1. It seems as we have lost more friends than usual this year. We all become so close, it doesn’t matter if it is one of our own or one of our friend’s fur babies. We love and miss them all. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  2. Sending you and your kitty crew hugs. Thank you for sharing Lucy, Spooky, and Stinky with us ๐Ÿ™‚

ps – Bear thanks all of you for the fun crocheted toys! The chicken leg is already his favorite (he’s been carrying it around with him all night). We mentioned you Sunday’s post – just to thank you one more time for your thoughtfulness and your friendship.

    1. We are glad Bear likes the toys, he is a cutie. Thank you for the shout out on your blog.

  3. Losing three of your babies since last Remembrance is almost more than the heart can stand but the joy the others bring you every day and the fact you help so many OTHERS with your work for ferals, etc. means your family is even LARGER than those who live with you! Remembering is something we do every day but it’s nice Deb Barnes created a special day to set aside and share our memories.

    Love, Pam (and Sam)

    1. It is more than I can stand for sure, but I am blessed to have my 13. XO and love to you both.

    1. Thank you for your kind words. It was a tough year, I will always love and miss them. XO

  4. I have lost two dear cats this year. On July 13, we lost our sweet Tommy to diabetes. On August 26, we lost our dear Hootie to cancer. We miss them now, and always will. We will see them again at the Rainbow Bridge.

  5. Please accept my condolences for the losses of Lucy, Spooky and Stinky. We lost our HopeCat this year, so i know we never have them long enough.

    1. Thank you and I am sorry that you lost one of your beloved furbabies too. It is so hard to lose them, ad I agree no time is long enough.

  6. I’m so sorry. They are so special when they are with us. Our Little Bit went to the bridge on October 22 of last year. We miss her so terribly.

    Big healing hugs. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Thank you for sharing all of these beautiful angels today, Ellen. My Rosie is included in there, and I am celebrating her life today just as much as those of Lucy, Spooky, Stinky, and all of the furbabies our wonderful friends here have lost. As others have said, we all get to know each other so well, and any time one of us loses a furbaby, we all feel it. Purrs and prayers to you, Ellen, and to all of our friends and angels!

    1. Thank you, your Rosie was a beautiful girl. No matter how old they live to be, it is not long enough. XO

  8. Blessings to all the precious creatures that have come and gone in your life, and especially to Lucy, Spooky and Stinky. May they be resting in peace. Purrs from Deb and the Zee/Zoey gang

  9. A hug of thanks and love to you for caring for so many beloved kitties, and special purrs for those to whom you’ve had to say farewell … peace to all.

  10. Lucy, Spooky and Stinky were very fortunate to have you as their Mama. Loving our fur babies is so much easier than having to let them go. We are sending all of you lots of love and critter kisses and snuggles today.

  13. Ellen, you know I’m barely blogging, deep in edits. Actually editing Spooky’s story after the copy editor finished. There was a detail, I needed to check and happened to see this. Lucy, Spooky and Stinky were lucky to have you as their Mom but dear Spooky brought lots of tears tonight. Email me if you’d like your husband’s name used in the story.
