  5. Concats to the winner of those furbulous toys!

Loved seeing the ‘cat in the hat’…MOL! Pawrfect fur the patriotic day we had today.

(Meowmy has a collection of poppy pins she has gathered over the years of being in Canada on/near Remembrance Day in November…)

    1. Thank you- that “hat” is actually a candle holder πŸ™‚ The poppy pins sound very nice, I didn’t realize that Canada also used that symbol for Remembrance Day.

      1. At the beginning of November or thereabouts, veterans stand with boxes of those poppy pins in storefronts, etc; and try to get peeps to buy one. usually fur a ‘looney’ or a ‘tooney’. (Canadian dollar and two dollar coins…)
Everyone in the public eye wears one on their lapels or dresses or coats, etc. The poppy theme stems from that poem “In Flanders Fields”, penned during WWl.

They are made of red felted plastic, with a black felt center and a little lapel pin…to be worn like a corsage/boutonniere.

Meowmy (who is a Canadian) is often there at that time cause her Mom, her Aunt and herself all had birthdays around that day…as did her grandma and another aunt in Europe…now all are in heaven except meowmy and her aunt of age 95!

        1. I am sorry your Grandma is no longer with you. We don’t have poppy pins, just little poppies made out of wire and paper. Good luck with the new vet tomorrow- I will be praying for you.

  6. Concats to Christy Paws, Ocean and Echo. They got a superb prize. You all are looking very patriotic today. Blessings upon all of those who have served in our military. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
