Awww…Monday

Hi everyone. Before we get started we want to give condolences to sweet Ernie’s family.

To visit, click here.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays

Rosie is posing with one of the books I am currently reading. It is a new release that I had not heard of so I am glad the librarian set it aside for me. My Beloved Monster ; Masha The Half- Wild Rescue Cat Who Rescued Me by Caleb Carr is a good book. I will warn you that there are some sad parts to it. I try to avoid anything sad about cats, but I wouldn’t have much to read if I avoided it all. I like that the author realizes how unique every cat is and writes about his special bond with Masha.

Penny is supposed to post tomorrow, but Rosie didn’t get to write last week so Penny might let her have a turn, so she doesn’t burst with so much gossip in her.

    1. She will- mainly because Penny writes money saving tips and she needs to do some research. XO

  1. We were so sad to hear about the loss of Ernie, too. Rosie looks so pretty there, and the book sounds good! XO

  2. Well, every kitty should take his/her/its/their turn with gossip as there are various views on gossip and no two are alike, haha. We would love to hear both but that could take some time, as in several months! Such good stories around your house, Penny and Rosie. How do you two keep up???
We are so very sad for Sue and her loss, but we are so glad that Ernie is not in pain.

  3. Now these are the type of nonfiction books that I do read. I will be looking for this one thanks. Can’t wait to see what the gossip is tomorrow.

  4. My condolences to Angel Ernie’s family. I can’t wait to hear Rosie’s gossip tomorrow, and I hope Penny lets her write some real good stuff.

  5. So sad about Ernie. More hugs for Sue.

You’re so cute Rosie. I’ll see you tomorrow morning to see what’s going on in the hood.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to all the kitties and a hug to mom. ♥

  6. It is so hard for Ernie’s family and for us that Ernie has gone on his journey. We loved him and we will miss him.

Rosie…can’t wait to see what you will say this time!

  7. Charlee: “Our Dada says he has read several of Caleb Carr’s fiction books, but he didn’t know he’d written one about a cat!”
Chaplin: “He also says the title reminds him of a song that goes ‘You’re my beautiful monster’ or something like that. They used it in a TV show he watched where some aliens were trying to take over the world or something.”

  8. Penny,
Taking turns is hard…be sure to write down you thoughts for next week
    Hugs Cecilia

  9. I was devastated for Sue when I read about sweet Ernie’s passing. I pray for all those whose dear kitties have gained their angel wings, including you.

This book sounds like such a touching read. And it’s so sweet that Penny and Rosie take turns. They both have so much great wisdom (and gossip) to share. Purrs!

  10. I get what you’re saying about trying to avoid story lines with sad or bad things happening. I don’t like reading or watching movies where children are hurt or creepy movies where kids are evil. Nope, I hate stuff like that! I’m sorry to read one of your blog friend’s loss. My prayers go out on their behalf!

  12. Well, either Rosie or Penny… they are both a treat to see. Rosie is doing a very good job assisting you with the review for your current read. I am so sorry about Ernie having to leave for The Bridge. From comments here it sounds like he was loved very much. It’s so hard to let them go.
Hugs for you, Ellen, and scritches for the Meowing Crew.

  13. I was so sad when I heard about Ernie. The book sounds good. I want to read more this summer.

  14. My condolences to Ernie’s family. So sad.

I’m the same way about sad cat books. Actually anything bad happening to animals is hard to get through for me. This book does sound good, though.

    1. Very sad about Ernie. I have trouble with anything bad with animals too. XO

  15. That sounds really good! I think I’ve read something by that author before.

  16. That’s awesome to be known so well by the librarian. 😀 I need to revisit ours for some desired reads. Forgive me if I’ve mentioned this before, but I had to stop watching “Animal Cops” many years ago; rage over mistreatment almost burst a blood vessel. 😛 Best wishes and hugs to you, yours, and Ernie’s family. 🙁 Losing our precious charges never gets easy.

    1. It is the same librarian that was the children’s librarian when I was a kid. She is almost ready to retire, but the other 2 know me pretty well too. I would not be able to watch that either. XO

        1. Yes, you should. I save so much money by getting books and dvds from them. XO

  17. My condolences to all who knew and loved Ernie.

Rosie, thanks for posing. The sad fact is, most biographies, whether of people or pets, have the same sad end. It’s just the way it is.

No matter who posts tomorrow, I will want to read it!

  18. Oh ~ Ernie will be missed ~ hard to lose our fur babies ~ Enough sadness in life ~ sigh ~ hugs to all especially sweet Rosie ~

Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

  19. Ironic…I just picked up that same book at the library yesterday! Heard a review of it on NPR and it sounded like a good read. Still trying to catch up from visiting my Dad last week…the inbox is overflowing with lots of posts. Sorry to learn about Ernie. We’ve had way too many good pets earning their angel wings lately (and I know you’ve experienced this first hand); it’s all just too sad. Sending gentle thoughts of comfort to everyone who knew Ernie, but especially his ‘pawrents.’
