Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful that Dusty is such a good girl. Her left eye is still a little wonky so the vet gave her an antibiotic injection and she needs eye drops 3 times a day. She was an angel at the vet  (unlike Penny whose file has a warning label). The vet held off on her rabies vaccine until the eye clears up.

Also, since she arrived, she has had 3 seizures (not grand mal). The vet was not overly concerned for now, but if they increase or get worse, we will see a kitty neurologist.

Tomorrow will be her 1st Gotcha Day. I am so thankful she showed up. She is my buddy and sleeps beside me every night. I think Angel Joanie told her to because that is where she used to sleep.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. My plans for June include ______________ and ______________________.
2. I would love to have ___________________ mentor me.
3. _________ was an aha moment for me.
4. I was not prepared for _________ when I reached adulthood.

  1. Happy Gotcha Day Dusty. Now, I wonder what toughed off those seizures? I guess you hadn’t had any until your Mom noticed here recently. I hope you eye is all better and that the seizures become a thing of the past.

    1. I wonder too. The first time I thought was a new rug in the spare room, the second my hubby blamed all the noise the kids make and no idea the 3rd. XO

  2. Happy Gotcha Day to Dusty. We hope your eye gets better and no more seizures. When Raz had his the vet said not to do anything unless it was more than 2 a month. His were all grand mal.

  3. Dusty is a real sweetheart. We sending ‘pawsitive’ thoughts her eye improves soon.

  4. Happy early Gotcha Day, Dusty! Sending positive thoughts that the eye clears up quickly and the seizures stabilize or go away for good.
I am glad Dusty is with you and that she is your buddy at night♥

    1. Thank you. Me too, she is such a love. Friday is too and sleeps on my pillow. Penelope sleeps on my hubby’s side and Rosie at our feet. XO

  5. Ellen, I am so sorry to hear about Dusty having had those seizures. Sawyer had a whopper on Tuesday. He has been to the vet two days in a row, and he is not a cat that is good about being in the PTU, but he never makes a peep coming or going. We’ll be saying prayers for Dusty. Mom often thinks angel kitties send others to their humans, as they know what a great life they will have together.
