Hi everyone. Thank you all for your kind words on the loss of Drake. And thank you Crystal, for your beautiful post

Time for the fill-ins. I came up with the first two sentences and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with the second two. My answers:
1. When I turned 50, I figured I was old enough to break off the amount of bananas I want instead of having to buy the entire bunch.
2 My favorite breakfast is French toast and crispy bacon.
3. I’m so glad I live in a world where I can have lots of cats.
4. My day is not complete without a little comedy. I have to see a rerun of Big Bang Theory, Friends or Everybody Loves Raymond daily- or Seinfeld, but that is harder to find now. The sitcom is a vitamin for my soul.

  5. Angel Prancie doesn’t seem concerned about those spiders…I would be trying not to scream! LOL!

    1. When I turned 52, I was smack in the middle of my chemotherapy treatments.
    2. My favorite breakfast is just like you: French Toast. with or without the bacon..
    3. I’m so glad I live in a world where modern medicine is advanced enough to help peeps with severe illnesses…myself and hubby included._.
    4. My life is not complete without my Church family. They are almost as dear to me as my own nuclear family.

  8. Loved your comment about bananas…….it took me a while before I decided it was OK to break off a few tomatoes from a bunch instead of buying the whole bunch! We are sure that dear Drake is with the other Pilch Angels now keeping an eye on all of you forever!

  19. Oh, we are so sorry about the lovely Drake. Too many losses this month, Ellen. We send you good thoughts and hope for a thoroughly scary and wonderful Halloween, for which you have prepared so beautifully for Typhoid Mary and The Great One, not to mention the kitties and your lovely husband!

    Hahaha. I always feel like I have to buy the whole bunch of bananas! I feel the same about the little touch of comedy.

    1. When I turned 23, I married SSNS. Best decision ever.
    2. My favorite breakfast is when SSNS makes potato cakes and fries them and adds an over easy fried egg.
    3. I’m so glad I live in a world where there is a variety of bacon cheeseburgers.
    4. Chili is not complete without peanut butter.
    I must have decided on the food edition of Fill-Ins.

  21. TW has been doing that with bananas all her life. In fact, one store yelled at her for it and she was over 50 at the time. Now most stores have them in sealed bags. TW loves breakfast. At home she eats cereal but when she goes out, it’s pancakes and eggs or crepes and eggs and hash browns. No one makes home fries anymore.

    1. So far the bananas are bagless, but they bag the grapes and I have to pen them to put some in another bag because there are always too many. 🙂 XO

  28. Oooh, I too love French toast. I might have to make that for breakfast tomorrow. Very cute flashback photo. I need to laugh everyday. There are not enough good comedies anymore.   30. #1 HAHA! Yes, I break off how many bananas I want. No guilt. And I really enjoy watching sitcoms. Humour…we need lots of it these days! xo
