Caturday Saturday

Hi everyone! We are joining Athena’s Caturday Art Blog Hop .

The Great One went to The New England Aquarium in Boston with her parents and little sister. I asked her to get a photo of the octopus for me. She forgot her camera, but asked her mom to get some photos.  She was hoping they had a mermaid, but they didn’t. I acted surprised that they didn’t, I figure it is up to her folks to fill her in on Santa, The Easter Bunny and mermaids. 🙂

It was so pretty that I only added a frame to it, the colors are the actual photo.

And I made a puzzle:

  1. That IS a pretty octopus. I’ve got a mermaid costume… maybe one of your crew (Joanie?) will want to wear it. Let me know, and I will have my human track it down and send it your way.

    1. Thank you for the offer, but we have the same one you have and Joanie has had to model it many times. 🙂 Thank you though, that was sweet of you. XO

  2. That is a lovely photo and pretty colours. Thanks for the puzzle.

  3. What a great photo!!!
I 100% agree Aunts are all about fun and feeding the imagination.
It would have been so much fun if there had been a person in the tank cleaning the glass. TGO would have been over the moon.

    1. They are fascinating. It was for TM’s 3rd birthday- I wonder how many people in Boston she gave germs too. 🙂 XO

  4. The ocotupus family is fascinating. Very intelligent creatures from what I have read. However, I am a little disappointed there was no mermaid there. Maybe next visit. 🙂

  5. That is one terrific photo! We are glad the Great One enjoyed the aquarium. They are such fascinating places! And too bad about the mermaid. The one in the city where I grew up had a mermaid (statue) that was a highlight of a visit. We can’t wait to do the puzzle!

  6. Beautiful! Sea creatures are amazing.

Maybe you could ask the Great One if she was a mermaid, would she want to be inan aquarium for people to stare at, or would she rather be out in the beautiful, wide ocean with her merfamily and merfrends.

  7. Ahh, this brings back sweet memories to our Mom from about 35-40 years ago. Mom and Dad took the three kids to the Aquarium and to the Children’s Museum. It was a very wet and rainy day. She has photos of them sitting in the parking garage on a blanket between cars on the floor of the garage having a picnic lunch:) They all really enjoyed the aquarium.

  8. We were just talking about the Newport, Kentucky Aquarium today! I don’t know why it came up exactly but the jellyfish gallery there is awesome. Nice octopus image! 🙂 Best wishes to you and yours, my dear.

  9. Very cool! I really like the octopus. I find it to be such and interesting and fascinating animal. Seems alien-like.
