Happy Tuesday everyone! Today is medical day and I have some news to report. Lucy had a UTI this past week. She always lets me know by making a point of squatting on the rug in front of me so I know she is having problems. I think she must have gotten stressed when we were gone overnight- even though she had Grammie. Lucy is MY kitty and I give her a lot of attention and spoiling. They are all spoiled, but she is beyond spoiled. 004

Luckily, I was able to get her right into the vet a few hours later and she was given an antibiotic shot. I was told it would kick in after an hour, but I also asked for pain meds so she wouldn’t have to suffer waiting. The vet gave her one dose that was good for 12 hours. Lucy loves her pain meds, they make her purr and drool.

  11. It’s great that you and Lucy have good communication with each other. UTIs are nothing to mess with. I hope that she will be feeling better soon. She is such a cutie pie!

  18. OMC Pain meds fur a UTI? Weez need y’all’s VETs down here. Dat wuld nevew happen. And they wuldn’t give an antibiotic shot eevew. They do a course of Clavimox and we just have to suffer till we don’t. Weez so sowry Lucy had to hav a ouchy. Weez’ll be purrayin’ fur her a little extwa.

    1. Thank you for the prayers 🙂 That is so sad that your vets don’t take pain into consideration, around here they can get pain meds for whatever you request if you think your cat is in pain. I love the anitbiotic shot too, it is more money, but so worth it especially for cats that are hard to pill.
