Treat Tuesday

Hi everyone! Today we want to tell you about two kinds of treats we recently won.

First off, we won Blue Buffalo Kitty Cravings Chicken Crunchy Cat Treats from Three Chatty Cats. Being that KaTwo will only eat this kind of treat, I let her keep the entire bag ( don’t tell Phoebe).

We also won some Pet Naturals of Vermont Calming Treats from Sweet Purrfections.

Β  They are supposed to help calm an anxious pet during thunderstorms, fireworks or any other stressful event. Joanie didn’t need calming, but she wanted to try one. I also let Sammy, Millie and Penny try them too. They must taste great because they gobbled them up. They did seem calm, but there was nothing stressful happening at the time. I put the rest away to try during the next thunderstorm. It only takes one treat to help, but up to 3 can be given.

Thank you Three Chatty Cats and Sweet Purrfections! Also thanks to Chewy who sponsored both giveaways.

We also want to thank the blog, KittyClism that gave us a Blogger Recognition Award.

  • Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog
  • Write a post to show your award
  • Give a brief story of how your blog started
  • Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers
  • Select 15 other bloggers you want to give this award to
  • Comment on each blog and let them know you have nominated them and provide the link to the post you created.

I started blogging because I love cats and wanted to share what I have learned about them over the years in the hope of helping other cats. It has now become a big part of my life and I am blessed with the friendship and support of a wonderful group of cat lovers.

Two pieces of advice to new bloggers- comment on other blogs and join Facebook groups for cat lovers( or whatever your blog is about) where you can share your posts.

I can’t pick just 15- if you are reading this then your blog deserves this award too.

We will be having a giveaway tomorrow so please stop by.

  1. Concats on winning those yummy treats! Thunderstorms…we hope you will not have any then you won’t even need those treats, MOL!

Maybe Sammy might benefit from them so he will be more ‘polite’ to Brody?

    See ya’ll!

    1. Good thinking, Sammy would benefit from them. I don’t like to give him too many things other than his vet diet for calcium because I don’t want him to need surgery again to get rid of the calcium stones. The collars help πŸ™‚ XO

  2. Those treats look yummy! My human used to try to give me calming treats on car trips, but they never seemed to help. Lately, I’m not that bad anymore… probably because I know when I get in the car, as annoying as it can be, in the end I am going somewhere good!

  3. We want treats now. We don’t care if they’re calming or normal treats.

That being said, Mom is interested in your review under a stressful event. As you know, we’re sometimes traveling by airplane, and Mom knows that we’re stressed then.

    1. I think these would be great for that. I highly recommend calming collars too, they definitely work.

  4. Mmmmm. Our mouths are watering just thinking of these treats! We are so happy that you all won these goodies. We’re also curious to know how those calming treats work, and can’t wait to know how they do for you. Purrs to all of you!

  5. Ellen,

First off, happy belated birthday to you dear friend! *applauds* May the good Lord give you many, many, many more! πŸ˜‰ Your kitties sure know what’s inside those bags. lol It looks like it might be a little stressful just trying to get to the treats. lol Congrats on the Blogger Recognition Award. You offered good advice to new bloggers. Have a good day and be blessed!

  6. Concats on the award AND on winning some goodies too! Those calming treats are interesting – haven’t seen them before……Mom says I’m so calm I’m almost in a coma (!!) so I guess I don’t need them but so many of my friends probably would enjoy them……..

    Hugs, Teddy

  7. Congrats on that great award. Those treats sound really good. We might have to give some of them a try. You all have a super day.

  8. Way to go on the wins, and congratulations on your newest award.

Have a purrfect day. My best to your wonderful mom. ☺

  9. Congratulations on the award! And how nice you won two treats! I hope the calming treat will help in case stressful event happens.

  10. Treat Party!
    Yea!
But why is it, in our house anyway, the cat who really needs a calming treat will never eat it (I’m talking about you, Mickey Mouser). And the cat who really doesn’t need it, runs off with the bag… (yes you, Rufus the Red).
    xxoo

    1. Chewy doesn’t list the percentages, but this is the list of ingredients:Brewers Yeast, Canola Oil, Chicken Liver Flavor, Citric Acid, Glycerin, Mixed Tocopherols, Propionic Acid, Proprietary Blend (Maltodextrin, Sodium Alginate and Calcium Sulfate), Rosemary Extract, Silicon Dioxide, Soy Lecithin, Vegetable Oil, Whey.

I hope you are feeling better my sweet boy, I am with you in spirit. XO and paw kisses and prayers for good health.

  15. I think your advice to new bloggers is great. I also think your way of handling the naming of other bloggers is great. It is too hard to narrow it down to the number they have us choose. I’m always afraid I’ll leave out someone and hurt their feelings. That has happened in the past.

    Have a blessed evening. πŸ™‚
