The A-Z Blogging Challenge- M

Hi, we are up to the letter M in The A-Z Blogging Challenge. Back in 2016, I wrote about Miaow! Cats Really Are Nicer Than People by Sir Patrick Moore. To read about that great book, click here.

Today I am recommending some fiction. I rarely red fiction, I prefer memoirs and self-help books, but I enjoy mysteries from time to time as long as there is a cat in them.

Melinda Metz, has a series of 3 books about a kleptomaniac cat named Mac that brings people together. I really enjoyed the first 2, Talk to the Paw and The Secret Life of Mac. Mac on a Hot Tin Roof was OK, but not as good as the first two. I  wrote reviews of the first two in 2018 and 2019.

Here is Emmy posing with one, back in July:

  1. Sometimes it seems authors have a hard time keeping the fun aspect up for their readers…or they seem to loose some of the joy in writing with the same characters?

Emmy posed nicely none the less!

  2. I do enjoy fiction and that sounds like a fun series.

  3. I love fiction as well as non-fiction and this sounds like a great read!!

    Hugs, Pam

  4. I think I would enjoy these books. They sound like a fun read! Sweet little tabby on the front of the book.

  5. It is possible to use up all of the funniest and best material for the first books, i think. Have a fabulous Wednesday!

  6. Sounds very enjoyable loved Emmy’s pose heheh!

    Have a posesafetastic week 😷😷😷😷

  7. The Melinda Metz series is fun, full of interesting characters, including, of course, Mac!

  8. I love fiction. It’s a little moment of escape from the crazy stuff going on in the world.

  9. I enjoy all fiction especially when there are furries in it.
    Hugs cecilia

  10. Mysteries with cats do seem very popular :). I have to admit I’m more of a fiction person than a memoir, but I do like history books and science.

  11. Mysteries are my favorite reads. I can get lost in them so easily. I love going somewhere I’ve never been and never leave my chair.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to you. ♥

  12. i have actually heard of those kleptomaniac cat named Mac books–will have to check them out!

  13. These books sound so good! Our mom is putting them on her reading list.

  14. I read the first book and didn’t realize until recently there were 2 sequels!

  15. Ellen,

Thanks for sharing picture of Emmy posing for this book review post. Right now the only reading I’m doing is blog reading and I’m not even doing a good job at that. *sigh* Thanks for joining me for Wild Wednesdays, my dear. Have a good day and be well! 😉

  16. I read the Patrick Moore book years ago and remember really enjoying it. I think this must be one to re-read!

  17. I’m the opposite of you, I prefer fiction over non-fiction. I haven’t read a good cat mystery in a while either, I love mysteries with pets in them.

  18. These books sound like so much fun! My to-read list is growing by the day, and I’m totally fine with that. Purrs!

  19. Sweet kitty photo among the books ~ I have linking back to this blog from your blogger profile ~ Would you leave a link for me when you comment so I can comment back and not have to chase around looking for a link for you? Or put this link on your blogger profile ~ Thanks ^_^

  20. Thanks for the recommendation. I enjoy reading mostly fiction, so I’ll check this series out!
