Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. Before our post, we want to give condolences Balthazar’s family for the loss of their sweet boy. To visit, click here.

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that I got to spend time with the girls on Wednesday and will again on Friday.

Also thankful for strawberry season. My hubby and I made jam.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. We’re very sorry to hear of the loss of Balthazar. It’s always so hard to lose a kitty. That strawberry jam looks good and tasty! XO

  2. I didn’t know about Balthazar and have just gone and left my condolences.
The strawberry jam looks good. Our strawberries are nice and ripe too. We have been eating them every day with Devon clotted cream. I refuse to think about the calories with all that cream. We have given some away as well. I suppose I should have made jam too!

  3. I am sorry to hear about Balthazar, and my condolences to the family. Your strawberry jam looks yummy!

  5. Strawberries are yummy, but I’m hankering for watermelon.
Have to convince The Hubby that I won’t eat a whole one in one sitting, because I can and I have!

  6. Oh no…not another fur-angel. 💔 It’s been far too many lately and while I didn’t know Balthazar, he looked like a very sweet chap. Tender thoughts of peace and comfort to all who followed his adventures. RIP Balthazar and peace to your family.

  7. I didn’t know Balthazar, but I feel sad for the family. The jam looks delicious!

  8. Mom is drooling for jam like that. She used to make her own too when she lived in MA and CT. The strawberries grown there were SO good. Here the season is short because of the heat and there are not that many places where you can pick your own. Enjoy.

  9. Chaplin: “We didn’t know Balthazar, but we’re always sad when a furry friend has to say goodbye. We send lots of purrs for his family.”
Charlee: “A few weeks ago Mama and Dada bought a giant flat of strawberries from one of those corner farm stands. They weren’t sure they could use them all up, but they did! The last few went into strawberry-banana pancakes that Dada made.”
Lulu: “As usual, we didn’t get to try them.”

  10. We were sad to read about Balthazar. We re purraying for his family. Your Jam looks totally yummy! Our Peep made strawberry Jam this week too! We are having a bumper crop of strawberries this year. Mom tried a new no/low sugar pectin. She has given furrends and neighbors jars to “taste Test”. If they like it, she will rework some of her Beary Good Stuff Recipes. Keep being AWESOME! Marvelous Marv.

    1. Thank you. I will have to look for that because my hubby doesn’t use sugar and can’t eat the one we made. XO

  11. I wanted to try growing strawberry plants this year but realized I had enough garden projects. lol Those berries make for the best jam, don’t they? I’m sorry for Balthazar’s family. 🙁 I didn’t want to mention it on their blog (it seemed inappropriate) but those are some very cool cat names. Best wishes, my dear.
