Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone. We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful for our beautiful azalea.

Also, thankful that the girls have a half day on Friday so I will get to spend time with them. They were in Texas all last week for a wedding.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. A day without ________is like a _________ without __________.
2. I find it rude when someone asks me _______________________.
3. I like to _________ as early as possible.
4. I tend to run late when _________.

  1. Incredible azaleas. Do you know about the Houston Azalea Trail each year that takes place at houses where azaleas are the major planting? It’s pretty amazaleaing!

  2. The azaleas have been amazing here this year also. They’re finished now the rhododendrons are blooming. But it’s been so cold and wet everyday for weeks on in and makes the flowers last longer. Glad you’re going to see the girls for a while. In our area Friday is the last day of school for the year.

  3. THAT is one gorgeous azalea. Makes me miss my lavender ones even more. I had about 12 bushes spread across the front of my home and all twelve were affected by some lichen. Killed them all.

    1. A day without coffee and breakfast is like a day without even starting the day!
    2. I find it rude when someone who is a stranger or very casual acquaintance, asks me for personal information.
    3. I like to get important errands and house tasks done as early as possible.
    4. I never tend to run late. I am one of those very on-time folks.

    1. Thank you. That is so sad you lost them all. Thank you for these great answers. I am with you on 1 and 2. I have been told I am punctual- not too early or late. XO

  4. I wish our alkaline soil didn’t kill azalea bushes. ~sigh~ But my horse chestnut tree blooms beautifully each spring to the point of literally stopping traffic at times. 🙂 Unfortunately, our persistent high winds blew them all away prematurely. Oh, well.

Looking forward to your fill-in answers, I can’t help wondering if you’ll go with a Nic Cage or kitty theme for the first. 😉 Hugs, my dear.

    1. How cool that you have a horse chestnut tree. Do you eat the chestnuts? They are supposed to be good for arthritis. Cats trump Nic. 🙂 XO

  5. Beautiful Azalea! It’s just glowing! Have a good time with the Girls 🙂
