Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I am thankful that my mom and I got to watch all 3 kids on Monday. I was rocking the boy with a bottle to get him to nap and The Great One started singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star over the baby monitor. It brought tears to my eyes, in a good way, not the kind of tears my singing would bring. I wish I could have recorded it.

Also thankful for sprinkles- they make everything better.

And I am thankful for our friend that shared his broccoli bounty with us.

We are also joining Angel Sammy’s Poetry Day.  And here is the photo prompt provided:

As you may have already guessed
a staycation with hubby and kids made me stressed.
So, I said I was going to the store.
Now, I can relax and have a s’more.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

  1. What a good time with the kids and that is a mighty nice bunch of 🥦 broccoli! Funny take on the photo prompt too! XO

  2. That was sweet of The Great One to sing for the boy. That is a big brocolli!

  3. WONDERFUL poem, we laughed ourselves off our chairs and what a beautiful broccoli! And oh, to hear Twinkle Twinkle…….

  4. HA! Love the poem – I like the idea of saying “I’ll be back soon!” and taking off for some peaceful time in a little home on wheels ALL ALONE IN THE PEACE AND QUIET!!!!! LOL That’s so sweet that THE GREAT ONE sang that song and I’m sure you wish you had it recorded…….

    Hugs, Pam

  5. I love your poem. I couldn’t think of anything that would be right, to save me!!
I think the Great One singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is just right for night night time for the Boy.

  6. I love your poem and how sweet that the Great One sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to the boy. That broccoli is beautiful.

  7. Java Bean: “I have never had sprinkles, but now I want to!”
Chaplin: “Put them on tuna and I would try them. MAYBE.”
Lulu: “That is a lot of broccoli. Broccoli is crunchy, right? I like crunchy things!”

  8. Watching all 3 kiddos must have been very entertaining! When the baby visits your house, what does Joanie think? Does she enjoy visiting with him just as much as The Great One and Typhoid Mary? I just love how much she enjoys her visits with the girls. And the lady in your poem is a smart one! Purrs!

    1. Joamie doesn’t like the boy, but Rosie does if his sisters are not around. XO
