Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful for the first zucchini of the year. My hubby started the seeds on his birthday in January. He grows them inside as they are self-pollinating.
I am also thankful that I got to spend time with The Great One. She likes the pussy willows and made some arrangements for her bus driver and her teacher. Plus, she “rescued” all the fuzzies off the ones I was going to put in the brush pile. I am really picky and if one breaks off the branch, I won’t use it. I thought that was sweet that she kept them. Her mom may not be as happy about that. 🙂
Sorry, I skipped the poem this week.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
That’s impressive zucchini! Glad you had fun with The Great One. XO
Thank you. We always have fun. XO
Wow, that is a nice harvest of Zucchini in the wintertime season! Hope they’ll be nice and tasty!
They were so good. XO
PLEASE, HUBBY, TELL ME WHAT YOU DO TO GROW INDOORS!!!!!!! Mama has to start her tomatoes before a stint with kids in Rome and needs to have them going strong when she returns to plant outdoors, WOW we are so impressed!
I will email you some tips from him. XO
Those zucchini grew fast! I used to grow them in the greenhouse but haven’t for a few years.
This is similar to a greenhouse on the enclosed porch with heat. XO
I can remember being fascinated by pussy willows when I was a little girl……these days I still think they are one of the most interesting plants around! Glad you enjoyed your time with The Great One.
Hugs, Pam
Me too. 🙂 Thank you. XO
I love zucchini! The people around me have never truly appreciated them though, so I haven’t had them as much as I’d like.
They don’t know what they are missing. 🙂
Mum thinks fresh zucchini would be pawsome!
I bet those pussywillows were popular with the recipients.
I like that the Great One kept the fuzzies from the broken branches 😉

She is a sweet kid. XO
Now I have to check out our pussy willow bush; I cannot image we have any fluffs, but who knows?
I hope you have some. XO
Mom loves pussy willows. She hasn’t seen them in ages.
I wish I could send her some without them breaking. XO
So happy you had time with The Great One. Sweet of her to think of her bus driver and her teacher. Makes me happy to see the zucchini… feels like summer.
Thank you. She is a sweet kid. XO
Lulu: “Zucchini! Our Dada made a lot of pizza crusts with zucchini over the course of the pandemic when they never went anywhere.”
Java Bean: “Ooh, how did they taste?”
Lulu: “Pfft, as if I ever got to try any.”
That sounds good.
MOL MOL the fun of being a Great Aunt is never saying No to TGO.
