Hi everyone! I am joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop because I am thankful I got to see Grammie on Monday and Wednesday. And look what she brought me, I mean us. I love her so very, very much.
Pardon my winky eye, Mom makes me nervous because she is always trying to put medicine on my ear so I tend to blink when she is next to me.
Turns out, Mom is definitely feeding a cat, not a skunk. It is getting braver too, I fear our family may be growing soon. Mom doesn’t know if it is a male or female, but it does watch for her to bring food then hides until she leaves.
Here is my X poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day.
X is Useless
X is a useless letter
our language could be better
I want to toss the X right out
if you agree, give me a shout
x-ray will now be spelled like this
ecksray, the letter x we will not miss
Xavier can be spelled Zavier
come celebrate with caviar!
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and Annie of McGuffy’s Reader came up with the second two.
1. My idea of roughing it is____________________________
2.I never get sick of talking about ______________________________
3. My youth .
Love the poem!
Thank you 🙂
Phoebe, I thought you were flirting! You look cute winking. I think Grammie is blessed that you love her so much.
So, maybe you will get a brother named Xavier? Or maybe Mom will name him Nic. Or Pepe, after the LePew skunk? ❤
Thank you 🙂 Mom is hoping it is a girl because our boys fight too much and one more would make it worse. XO
Awww, I like the letter X. I think it’s xcellent!
Wait, you don’t spell it like that?
MOL! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Brian is a handsome fellow. Nice Grammies brought him some treats. Kudos for His poetry efforts. It must be ecksiting to have such a talented kitty.
Yael from PlayingInCatnip.com
Thank you 🙂
But X is pronounced like ks, no eh sound in front of it. That’s what i was taught in phonics class. Anyway, it’s a nice poem, and you look impish with the wink!
MOL, luv da poem!
Enjoy those treats!
Thank you 🙂
Your “winky” picture made me laugh! Also thought the poem was great.
Thank you 🙂
X-cellent poetry today!!!!! Well done………I agree with you about that letter though it’s rather useless AND everything that’s spelled that way COULD be spelled differently. Wonder who we need to petition to have it removed??!
Love, Teddy
Thanks Teddy, I wonder who we do need to write to about X? XO and love to you and your mom too!
That poem is the best. X is a hard letter. Love the wink too. Have a great day.
Thank you. I hope you had a great day too.
Your Grammie sure does sound purrfect, Phoebe. Just look at those treats she brought you (I mean, all of you, that she brought to all of you…). And X, what a letter. I was trying to think of anyone I know with the letter X in their name, in case I could come to its defense, but I’m coming up empty-handed. So, I guess we can just nix it. Or, I guess, nicks it? Purrs!
Thank you 🙂 I am lucky to have a wonderful Grammie.
Love the poem! It would be exciting if u got another brother or
sister
Thank you. I don’t want to share my treats with another 🙁
LOL! Thanks heavens it is a cat. It will be one lucky cat to land in your home, Phoebe! Maybe just toss X out for Poetry Day… but then maybe not! Happy you saw Grammie Monday and Wednesday… that was much better than who I had to see. I had to see my hair cutting person on Monday and the DENTIST on Wednesday!
I am lucky to have Grammie. I guess we have to keep x for kisses, XO 🙂 Hope your dentist apt. went well.
Your Grammie came to visit and brought treats too. Excellent.
I love the poem. I’m good with no more ‘x’s.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your wonderful mom. ☺
Thank you 🙂 I am lucky to have a good Grammie. Mom sends her best!
Nice poem! Sorry about the meds. Yuck. Our local town Xenia should be spelled Zenia. ~grin~ Be well!
Thank you 🙂 I like Zenia 🙂
Big treat jar but there are many to share with! Don’t forget.
They won’t let me forget 🙂
Oh no, another abandoned kitty! Your mom is doing good work by helping him/her.
Mom wants to keep the kitty and Dad says no, but either way , the kitty will get vet care and a home.
She brought you treats? YAY!!! Time to party, for sure. purrs
I am lucky.
I am all for ‘x-ing’ out the X, Phoebe! Please don’t eat all of those treats at once; you must keep your girlish figure.
Thank you 🙂 I will keep my figure.
That is such a fun poem! And your mom is very kind. So many of these poor animals in need of love ♥
Thank you 🙂 And mom thanks you too 🙂

You are ready for a party now sweetie! Hey, like Angel Sammy mentioned, that kitty knows that X marks the food spot. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Thank you for hosting the hop 🙂
How clever you are to be able to write poetry. It was brilliant. And that’s no Xaggeration (mol).
MOL! Thank you 🙂
We don’t think x’s are very useful either and your spelling makes more sense. We will answer your questions for tomorrow’s post! Yay! I always forget. ☺
Thank you, we look forward to your fill-in answers 🙂
Your Grammie sure keeps you stocked up on treats.
I am lucky 🙂

Great poem ! Purrs
Thank you XO
I’m sorry that your ear needs medicine. I hope that it will be better soon. That is a cute poem.
The letter X is a fun letter and makes us have to think harder when it comes to things like the A to Z Challenge. 🙂 The letter C is another one that is rather useless. It either sounds like a K or an S, so why not use a K or an S? Well, except when it is paired with an H, so maybe we need it for that, but not much else.
Thanks for the headstart on the fill-ins. 🙂
Have a blessed day!
Thank you,my ear is fine, the meds are for my thyroid, but mom gives it to me as a gel on my ear so we don’t have to fight over a pill twice a day.We hope you had a blessed day too 🙂
Oh, Phoebe, we suspect that wink is for when you said Grammie’s treats were for all of US, not just YOU ! Enjoy !
MOL 🙂
Um acréscimo à família, isso parece muito bom!
That would make 14. 🙂
What a fun poem! Thanks to your mom for helping that homeless kitty.
Thank you 🙂
About that cat who is not a skunk–thank Bast, right?
MOL! 🙂
You look so cute with your little winky eye, Phoebe. Tell your mom thanks for feeding the kitty.
Thank you 🙂 I will tell her.
Yay for treats from grammie!
Grammie is the best.
Wink!!! We thought also that it was cause in truth you were going to snag all the treats fur yourself:)
You have a way kind Mom, Phoebe. How lovely she feeds the strangers around your den. Kindnesses like that will be repaid…and not with skunk perfumes.
Phoebe, better hide those treats, we have a feeling that some may be given to your skunk wannabee.
And we had a good MOL at your ‘x-cellent’ poem!
🙂
Mom is glad it is not a skunk. 🙂
