We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful that my hubby got through his hernia surgery and is doing well.
I am also thankful that The Great One had a half day on Monday, so I was able to have her over. I showed her how to use the sewing machine I got her for her birthday. She made a pillow for Mrs. Potato Head.
We are joining the poetry day named after Teddy’s angel brother Sammy ‘s Poetry Day. Here is the photo prompt provided.
This is what puddles are for
whether you are two or eighty-four.
It’s still fun to splash and skip
as long as none of us breaks a hip.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

Glad to hear your husband’s surgery went well. That is a cute and fun poem. I felt like I was doing that last week when I had to wade through a foot deep flood to get to the other side of the road!

Oh, those kids are so, so LUCKY to have someone who gives a sewing machine to them and so many other creative gifts with which to teach so many good things for LIFE!!! Mama loves to sew because her mama taught her and her grandmamas and they taught her so MANY wonderful ways to do life with joy. As you do for those cute kids….SO glad the operaton was successful.
Thank you. I hope they have fond memories of me someday. XO
We are mighty happy that your Dad did well with his surgery……AND we’re happy that you still had time to do a poem for today’s Poetry fun! We love it – and hope those ladies in the rain use those canes they have so there’s no accidents. My crazy Mom posted Thankfuls today instead of tomorrow….oh well…..she also did Poetry so maybe she’s AHEAD OF HERSELF???
Hugs, Teddy
Thank you. That is OK, now she is all set until Saturday. XO
I enjoyed that poem! And it is about what I was thinking too when I saw it. No way they weren’t splashing through the puddles. Speraking truthfully, occasionally I get on the swings at the playgrounds I pass. (if no one is there) and I’m busting to try the sliding board.
Thank you. I love swings too. XO
Glad to hear husband’s surgery went well! 🙏
