Thankful Thursday

We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  I am thankful for the peaceful life I lead.  I am also thankful The Great One and Typhoid Mary were here on Monday. I played with them while my mom and niece visited in the kitchen.

We are joining the poetry day named after Teddy’s angel brother Sammy ‘s Poetry Day. Here is the photo prompt provided.

May I have a dance beautiful girl?

Sure, you can give me a twirl.
We are blessed to be wife and hubby
even if now we are old and chubby.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. ______________________ is music to my ears.
2. My favorite kind of soup is ________________.
3. If I were going to migrate or hibernate for the winter, I would go to _________.
4. I would _________ if I _________.

  1. Ellen,

Cute poem! We get old and sometimes even chubby but it’s always nice to dance with the hubby no matter what. 🙂 I’m thankful for my relatively peaceful, quiet life. 🙂

  2. A wonderful thankful and I love that poem. Depicts me and hubby too, but we’re not chubby.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins. Thank you for co-hosting.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  3. Aw…….this is one instance where size does NOT matter (hahaha). I love this couple – the looks on their faces – the fact they don’t care if the world is watching – they’re still in love and still dancing when “their song” plays on the radio. Love the photo – I knew there would be some GREAT poems written for this one! Yours is just so darn cute………….

    Hugs, Pam

  4. 1. My children voices are music to my ears as is my cats’ sweet morning greeting with a low short chirrup when I wake.
    2. My favorite kind of soup is home made vegetable beef.
    3. If I were going to migrate for the winter I would go back to Florida…Central Florida where I lived.
    4. I would build a very large home if I had the money for my family and me.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. I like that kind of soup too. And I wish you could build a big house. XO

  5. The simple things of life are what we are most thankful for. We chuckled at your sweet poem:)
