Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Joanie is thankful she got to have another play date with The Great One.

I am thankful I get to join in the fun. The Great One performed her first surgery. One of the stuffed animals had a rip so she sewed it back together. She even threaded the needle, I just had to do the knot.

Sorry I skipped the poem today. All the heat and humidity is clouding my thinking.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two. The linky stays open until Wednesday night.

1. I am overdue to ________________________.
2. I am so sick of _______________________.
3. _________ is a strange snack I like to eat.
4. _________ is one of the most random things I own.

  1. Joanie looks happy to see The Great One! How cool that she was able to do surgical repair on the stuffed animal! XO

    1. Yes, it is. I feel so jipped from last year with COVID and no play dates here. I am lucky I got to see her, but it wasn’t the same. XO

  2. Yes, the hear is unbearable in India too, right now, after long extended cyclonic showers.

Hope it rains soon in your part of the world too, which is where?

    Love and Joy.

    1. I am in Massachusetts which is in the Northeastern USA. We had a little rain the other day, but not much lately. XO and love to you too.

  3. Maybe the Great One is practicing to be a surgeon for when she grows up.

  4. How wonderful The Great One is sewing/repairing……I agree with Miss Jackie – looks like this girl is going to be a surgeon with that skill she’s demonstrating !!

    Hugs, Pam

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Whatever she wants to be as long as she is happy, but that would be nice. XO

  5. A play date and a surgery. Excellent. That made me smile.

I can’t come up with any answers to the fill-ins today. My mind is just like yours today. Maybe tomorrow.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

  6. Having fun with the Great One and her learning surgery what a grand Thankful it is. Those are some interesting fill ins so see you tomorrow

  7. I am so GLAD the surgery was successful. Joanie no doubt provide the needles at the ends of her toes?

  8. I bet the Great One will be a vet when she grows up. You have shown her how to love all creatures.
Oh boy I hear you it was 77 degrees this morning at 7:30 am humidity was 100%.
    Hugs Cecilia

    1. That would be nice. 🙂 But, I want her to be whatever will make her happy. XO

  9. You are a kitty with much more self control than I have! I would have swatted at and tried to chew on the thread.

  10. Sounds like a fun day for all and it also sounds like The Great One is one talented kid!

  11. Nice training for the Great One. Mom wishes someone had taught her how to sew when she was a little girl. She had a toy Singer sewing machine that actually worked (she still has it), but she never did much with it other than practice stitches.
