Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone!  We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

Sammy is happy to be cone free. He has been more playful. Sorry about the laser eyes.

We are joining their poetry day named after Teddy’s angel brother Sammy ‘s Poetry Day.

Many go to the beach for fun,

splashing in the ocean and getting some sun.

I was happy when I woke to the alarm bell,
for a moment there I thought I was in hell.
—————————————————————————————————————————–
I am not a beach person. I love the cold weather. My hubby and I thought it would be fun to walk barefoot in the snow yesterday. It was not fun, we won’t be doing that again, just a bit too cold.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.  The linky stays open until Wednesday night.

  1. Sometimes the cone is necessary but I know it’s a relief when it comes off, yay! Sammy does look lively, yay!

  2. Sammy looks very happy to have that cone off.
I am not a beach person either and am much happier walking on the moors (when we are allowed to again after lock down.) That photo would be my worst nightmare.

  3. I know Sammy is happy to be cone-free! Those things look SO uncomfortable but sometimes they’re necessary evils. The poem for the photo this week is perfection – going to that beach WOULD be hell (says my MOM!).

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. So happy for Sammy♥ We do enjoy the beaches here but the ones that we walk don’t look like that. There are more than enough primitive beach areas where there is hardly anyone there and we are mostly alone to walk and take in all that the beach and ocean have to offer. A little more difficult during high season but not impossible. Good Morning!

  5. 1. You don’t have to convince me to eat breakfast. I’m always hungry when I get up.
    2. Fending off Katie from my head causes me stress at night while trying to sleep.
    3. Speaking from experience, the word(s) is…keep moving. You must, in order to function well.
    4. Over time, my opinions have changed.

    1. Thank you for these great answers. Sorry Katie is so up close and purrsonal. She loves you so much. XO

  6. Hooray Sammy, that’s wonderful and enjoy your play time. That’s a cute poem too. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  7. I’m so happy for Sammy to be cone free. What great news.

Love your poem. I laughed out loud.

You walked in the snow barefooted? Yes that would be something you’d only do one time.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to the kitties and especially Sammy. ♥

  8. Ha! I’ve walked barefoot in the snow, just because I can be very stubborn and refuse to put anything on my feet before running outside for some errand…usually, it’s to visit The PO’M.

  9. I am not a sun worshiper either. Don’t like sand and I especially don’t like crowds. LOL
That being said I am a spring and fall gal
Well done on the poem and yay for being coneless
    Hugs Cecilia

  10. Great news Sammy, I am so glad you are doing better. Barefoot in the snow not fun – no kidding! MOL! You two are brave and adventurous, good for you for giving it a try. Thanks for the update on the giveaway we’re looking forward to the package!

    1. Thank you. I hope it gets there for Monday as it is supposed to- can’t trust the PO

  11. Now, that’s some poem. We wouldn’t attempt to get on a beach that’s that busy. Too many feet for us. Congrats on being cone free, Sammy. I have had to wear one of those torture devices but Tyebe’s never had the pleasure of trying to grab a treat from the floor when the cone pushes it further away.

  12. We are happy that Sammy is happy:)

Mom always loved the beach when she was younger. She lived in New England for 37 years, so it was never difficult to get to some shore line. She always found it to be a very peaceful place. But now she thinks it is too hot and she doesn’t like all the sand:(

  14. Walking barefoot in the snow! LOL! That’s something you probably only do once! 🙂
I love the ocean, but don’t like hanging out on the beach; I’d rather just take a walk through the surf, and definitely avoid the crowds.
