Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone!  We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

I am thankful that I got to see my 2 great nieces this week. My mom and I got to babysit and we will be once a week for June. It was nice to get to play with them for a long time instead of a brief outside visit.  We refrained from hugs and kisses and washed hands often.

Jinx is thankful for his Dad.

We are also joining  Sammy’s Poetry Day. Here is my poem to go with this photo prompt provided by Teddy’s mom:

Feel free to step outside for some fresh air.

That is, if you dare.

It is a very narrow ledge
so be careful not to fall over the edge.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. I would like to improve my ______________________________ skills.
2. My _____________ is _______________.
3. My current to-do list includes _________.
4. I finally _________.

  1. I’m glad you had a good long visit, Ellen! Jinx is such a big beautiful kitty!

  2. Jinx is beautiful! And your poem is cute! This is the first post I received! So whatever you did, thank you!

  3. Handsome Jinx!! Great pic for Father’s Day:)

That poem is exactly what I was thinking…good one!!

  4. Great photo of Jinx with his Dad! Also wonderful you got to see your nieces in a safe way for everybody’s sake. We’re with you on the SCARY photo for poetry this week – it’s WAY WAY WAY too high for us. Birds belong up there but not kitties and people!!

    Hugs, Teddy

  5. Glad you had good time with your great nieces. Jinx is so adorable, looking happy with his dad 🙂

  6. Jinx is a big lovely boy!
I am glad you were able to have a good visit with your great nieces at last. I am sure they will have enjoyed it as much as you.
I am with you on that poem. No way, José!

  7. That view would scare the pants or even the furs off mom and me.

  8. We’re glad you got to see your nieces…and you will get to babysit them. Great poem…but that’s way too high up!

  9. Jinx is a big handsome boy!! We would be scared to go out on that balcony.

  10. So good you got to visit family – so important for our souls! 🙂 Things are different but I just keep telling myself this is the next step.

That balcony freaks me out so bad! I am so afraid of heights that I can’t hardly even look at a photo of somewhere like that. LOL.

  11. I’m glad you finally got to see the little ones. We’re going to do that next month too. I can’t wait.

    Jinx is a handsome mancat.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. My best to all the kitties and a hug to the mom. ♥

  12. That is wonderful about your great nieces! How joyful that must have been. Stay safe and be well xo

  22. Purrfect poem for the photo! Here are my answers:
    1. I would like to improve my being patient skills.
    2. My goal is to lose the 10# I have gained during quarantine…it doesn’t help not having our health club closed. I need a swimming pool!
    3. My current to-do list includes helping my sweetie olrganize our garage ( actually it’s his garage).
    4. I finally started to make the next quilt for a Novmber 2020 baby!

  24. This truly is an awful place. Although a roof is a roof and if its warm it would be a blessing. Just don’t go outside.

  25. Hey Ellen what a wonderful time you must have had with the nieces…
My friend just saw her granddaughter in the flesh yesterday for the first time since March.
They had been facetiming at night.
    Great poem
