Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful to Crystal for writing a poem for Prancie. To read her post, click here.
And my niece’s cats, Nixon and Nellie are thankful that I gave them this cat tree.
We are also joining Sammy’s Poetry Day. Here is my poem to go with this photo prompt.
You want me to jump rope?
Umm-no thank you- nope.
Definitely not double dutch!
I would surely end up needing a crutch.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

That was nioce to give a kitty tree to your kitty relatives!
And did you hear the loud giggle when I read your poem?? Yup I did! So funny and I too would need a crutch!
Thank you 🙂 Glad you got a giggle. XO
Your poem rings true for our mom too.
MOL! 🙂
Funny poem that rings true! I was fine with straight forward skipping, but double dutch always got my legs tangled in the rope and in a heap on the ground.
That was nice to give Nixon and Nellie the cat tree.
Thank you 🙂 Same here. XO
We read Crystal’s poem – that was a nice gesture for sure. What a wonderful gift for your niece’s kitties – it’s a GREAT cat tree with a super nice spy spot on top! I had more than my share of skinned knees playing jump rope that’s for sure….but I still loved it in spite of my clumsiness!
Hugs, Pam
Thanks for reading my poem. Glad you liked it.
A great cat tree for sure.
It was very sweet. XO
Oh I would love to fill-in the sentences but I don’t think my answers would fly now. Maybe 20 years ago. 🙂
LOVE your poem!
I want your answers 🙂 XO
That sure was nice of you to give that tree to those kitties. We know they will enjoy it a lot. Have really good day.
Thank you 🙂 We hope you had a good day too. XO
MOL Mom would need a crutch too.
That was a beautiful tribute to Prancie.

I am so sorry. XO
Did you choose the cat tree color to blend so nicely with Nixon and Nellie?
Yes, I had a choice of light or dark gray so I figured the light would show less fur. 🙂
Those kitties sure love that tree, you are so kind to give that to them. I agree with you on the double dutch, and rhyming with crutch, very clever!
Thank you 🙂

Nixon and Nellie are way up high on their new tree. That’s just where I like to be on my tree, too! We can see the world from up there! Winks and purrs.
It is the best place 🙂
This is such a wonderful tribute to your precious Prancie. They leave so much love behind.
And I am sure your niece’s cats are very thankful for this cat tree.
Have a fantastic Thankful Thursday!
Thank you 🙂 I hope you had a nice Thursday too.
That is one awesome cat tree! And I agree with you on the double dutch….but it may be more than a crutch!! Hope your weekend is warm and wonderful.
Thank you 🙂 I hope you have a nice weekend too. XO
I used to love jumping rope but have no idea if I could do it now.
I bet you could 🙂
You are so sweet to your family! Nixon and Nellie look very happy. ♥
Thank you 🙂
How sweet to gift Nixon and Nellie with the cat tree. They definitely seem to be enjoying it. Mom agrees with your poem…but she figures she’d probably be in a body cast if she tried that. MOL! Thank you 🙂 XO
The mom remembers jumping rope like that but she says if she tried it now, she’d break a leg or two.
I only jumped with one rope 🙂
MOL MOL…your poem made us laugh, miss Ellen😸Extra Pawkisses🐾😽💞
Glad it gave you a chuckle 🙂 XO
That poem brings back such memories! I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to jump rope like that anymore.
MOL! 🙂
What a wonderful gift for the kitties and neat photo of them enjoying it ~ fun poem too ~ I used to love jumping rope of all kinds ~ ^_^

Thank you. 🙂
Nixon and Nellie are so cute! And what a purrfect gift you gave them. They’re clearly enjoying the cat tree very much. And your poem is, as always, so clever and funny. I used to love jump roping as a kid. I haven’t done it in so long, though, that I probably would really end up with crutches if I tried.
Thank you. 🙂
LOL I LOVE your poem. I would fall all over ALL the time!!!
What a wonderful gift. It would be like us humans being given a palace. There so lucky!!
Thank you 🙂
