Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am thankful to Crystal for writing a poem for Prancie. To read her post, click here.

And my niece’s cats, Nixon and Nellie are thankful that I gave them this cat tree.

We are also joining   Sammy’s Poetry Day. Here is my poem to go with this photo prompt.

You want me to jump rope?
Umm-no thank you- nope.
Definitely not double dutch!
I would surely end up needing a crutch.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. I came up with the first two and my co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. My favorite quote is ______________________..

2. My favorite part of February is ____________________.

3. A little known fact about me is _________.
4. _________ is the most rewarding experience in the world.

  1. Funny poem that rings true! I was fine with straight forward skipping, but double dutch always got my legs tangled in the rope and in a heap on the ground.
That was nice to give Nixon and Nellie the cat tree.

  2. We read Crystal’s poem – that was a nice gesture for sure. What a wonderful gift for your niece’s kitties – it’s a GREAT cat tree with a super nice spy spot on top! I had more than my share of skinned knees playing jump rope that’s for sure….but I still loved it in spite of my clumsiness!

    Hugs, Pam

  3. Oh I would love to fill-in the sentences but I don’t think my answers would fly now. Maybe 20 years ago. 🙂

    LOVE your poem!

  4. Looks like your niece’s cats are enjoying the new tree:) That was a great poem for Prancie.

  5. Not going to jump rope any more here, either. Your niece has lovely cats, and i will bet they are very thankful for that tree.

A blessed and beautiful Thursday to you!

  6. That was so nice of Crystal to write that poem. So precious.

Very nice of you to give that cat tree to your nieces kitties.

I’m all ready for the Friendly Fill-ins. Love the questions.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

And I am sure your niece’s cats are very thankful for this cat tree.
    Have a fantastic Thankful Thursday!

  11. That is one awesome cat tree! And I agree with you on the double dutch….but it may be more than a crutch!! Hope your weekend is warm and wonderful.

  12. How sweet to gift Nixon and Nellie with the cat tree. They definitely seem to be enjoying it. Mom agrees with your poem…but she figures she’d probably be in a body cast if she tried that. MOL! 14. Nixon and Nellie are so cute! And what a purrfect gift you gave them. They’re clearly enjoying the cat tree very much. And your poem is, as always, so clever and funny. I used to love jump roping as a kid. I haven’t done it in so long, though, that I probably would really end up with crutches if I tried.
