Thankful Thursday

Hi everyone! We are joining Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

Brody is thankful for the purrs and prayers. He is still sneezy, but doing better.

Some of you guessed correctly when you said Mr. Potato Head shaved. Those of  you that couldn’t see a difference were also correct too  because I posted the same photo last week. I meant to post the top one-oops!

Here is our poem for Sammy’s Poetry Day based on this photo:

Look at me, I may be small
I am on skates, but didn’t fall
I bet I could even do karate,
now if  I could only master the potty.

Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Mom came up with the first two and our co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.

1. Looking back, _________________________.

  1. So happy Brody is better! Your poem is totally adorable and hilarious all rolled into one. I just love it….it’s one of my favorite photos EVER from Angel Sammy – the kind of photo that makes you smile when you see it! HAPPY THURSDAY!

    Hugs, Teddy

  2. That’s a terrific and funny poem and I’m sure glad Brody is feeling some better. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  3. Good to know that prayers are working for Brody. Loved the poem – was the photo anyone we might know? Hope you’re having a super-good 2019.

    1. Thank you. No, the photo is something Pam posts weekly as a poem prompt. I hope you are having a good start to the year. XO

  4. Ha Ha – your poem was great!!! And we are very happy to hear that Brody is improving – here’s to a lot more of that today.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

    1. Thank you. I will look into the lysine. I did try the treats, but they didn’t help Polar Bear.

  7. Hooray for Brody, and tell Mrs. PotatoHead that i really like her Mr. more with the mustache. In fact, it was Sweetie’s cute mustache that caught my eye years ago!

That poem is great, i enjoyed the laugh at the end especially.

    1. I will tell her 🙂 My hubby had a stash when I met him , but I think he looks younger without it.

  8. Brody, we are happy to see that you are getting better. Your poem was just great. It made us laugh out loud in the office. Thanks for the share. We hope your new year will be a wonderful one. Have a great day.

    1. Aww..thank you sweet Leia. Sending hugs, but still no kisses in case I am still contagious.

  9. Mr and Mrs Potato Head!! I loved those when I was younger! And that photo of the child on skates is simply too cute for words.

  10. We’re so glad you’re feeling better, Brody. Purrs and prayers that the sneezes leave you alone now! As always, I quite enjoyed the little twist your poem took! You are so clever with your words. Purrs!

  11. I’m having the same problem commenting on your current posts so this is the comment on the fill-ins. Lately TW spends a lot of time looking back and says she hardly recognizes the person she was who was so full of life.

    1. I am sorry about the comment issue 🙁 Also sorry TW doesn’t feel so full of life anymore. XO
