Hi everyone. Before we show our selfies we want to give a moment to remember our sweet friend Jackie. She was everyone’s friend and I am sure you are all grieving as I am. My thoughts and prayers are with her beloved husband, Ivor. Click here.

We are joining The Cat On My Head’s Sunday Selfie Blog Hop.

Today we have our Kentucky Derby selfies.

First off, we have Penny.

Then a bit blurry Penelope

Friday on a Sunday (but, really on Kentucky Derby Saturday)

And Rosie figured if she had to wear a previously worn hat then she would add something to it- 2 catnip mice.

Now for the boys, well 2 of them anyway.

Rusty with an orange bow to compliment his orange furs.

And Rusty went with a taller hat to compensate his shorter height.

  1. We did not know Jackie well, we are always so sorry to hear of the loss of any bloggers. We send our sympathy and wishes for peace and comfort to all Jackie’s family and friends and kitties. Ellen your kitties all look very dashing in their hats! XO

  3. We did not know Jackie but knew of her and her many admirers among bloggers. So sad and we send condolences for her family. We watched the Derby on video and YAY, YAY, a female trainer!!!! Go, girl.

  4. Jackie was such a sweet person and treasured friend. I loved following her travel adventures and when her two ginger boys were still here enjoyed keeping up with their whole family fun at their gorgeous home property. I will miss her so very much.

  5. Rosie knows the right way to wear a hat with a couple of extra mice. Everyone looks like they were ready for the races.
    I was so very sorry to hear about Jackie. I’ve only been in touch with her for about 2 years so that’s a short time compared to most of you. She certainly seemed like a lovely lady.

  6. How sad. I didn’t know, Jackie, and my condolences to her family. Adorable selfies and I can’t pick a favorite. They are too cute.

  7. Those are THE best Derby pictures of the kitties all dressed up so swanky that I have ever seen. ALL of them are favorites.
    I had tears when I learned about Jackie from Carol and Barrie yesterday. I have been in close touch especially since the beginning of this journey she was on. I was able and privileged to walk with her because of the same journey with my oldest son.

  8. We are very sad about Jackie. We always loved following Eric and Flynn even after they became angels. We know there was a joyous reunion for them.

    We can’t choose; they are all great.

    Jackie was loved all over this entire world. She shared love and kindness in every comment she left.
    I will miss her and in the same breath am thankful to have known her.

  12. I didn’t know Jackie very well but always enjoyed her comments on Pam’s and Teddy’s blog about her cruises with her Husband. I always clicked the link she provided to her Angel Boys’ posts. I was heartbroken to hear the news. She fought such a brave fight. She will be missed.

    My favorite is all the Meowing Crew that is pictured today! But, I do have to say that Friday certainly wears a hat well on any day!

  15. They all look gorgeous with their hats, especially Furriday, Rusty and Rosie and Granny wants a hat like Rosie’s, but we don’t think it will look as good on her as it looks on Rosie😸
    We’re very sad about the passing of Jackie. She was a wonderful furriend on the blog from the beginning and we’re going to miss her so very much😿Soft Pawkisses to comfort you all🐾😘💞

    We didn’t know Jackie well but she was always gracious and very kind. She will be terribly missed by everyone in the Cat Blogosphere.
