Selfie Sunday and Thanks to Chewy

Hi everyone! Mom had a lot of fun at IKEA yesterday. She bought some curtains with black cats on them. And a weasel for her great-niece, I mean an easel.

Would you believe these were her main reason for wanting to go? They are children’s toys, but she buys them for us. They no longer are listed in the catalog or online so she was thrilled to find them. She bought 9 mice and 2 rats. She said some are for giveaways and I can give one away today. If you want to be entered for a chance to win, tell me in the comment section which color you will choose if you win, they come in white, gray and brown. I will announce the winner on Tuesday.

Joanie was worried that we didn’t have lemonade and I told her it didn’t matter, we would still get stuff for having a lemonade stand. I was right! Look what Chewy sent us because they liked my stand.

Of course, I do all the work and Sammy tried to take the prize. We got 2 packages of treats, lots of catnip toys , including a mouse and a carrot, a wand toy, a burlap bag, a bandana and a magnet for mom’s car. Mom thinks the bag is for her, but I have claimed it as a nice spot to snooze on. Thank you Chewy!!!

I haven’t seen my Grammie since Wednesday, I hope she visits soon. I love her so very much.

  8. Golly, I didn’t know IKEA sold rats and mice! That’s great and your Mom scored a whole PILE of them. If I won, I’d want WHITE because – well – my poor deaded white mouse Angel Sammy left me is now a pile of rags and Mom keeps hoping I’ll find something ELSE to play with other than rags. Phooey! I guess I could give it a try anyway. You sure got a big pile of fun stuff from Chewy – lucky you. HAPPY SUNDAY!

    GL says he would like to have a mousie. Color doesn’t matter. He just wants to pounce. We have never been to IKEA but would love to go some time.

  23. Phoebe, how adorable you are surrounded by those mousies and ratsies! If we were to choose, we’d choose gray. The lady completely forgot about Ikea’s stuffed animals. She used to live near an Ikea store when we lived in CA but now our closest Ikea is quite some distance. Congrats on winning all those fun things from Chewy! Your lemonade stand is awesome.

  29. I DO remember the lemonade stand! And you are so darn cute mommy can hardly stand it. You really did well with those toys. My mom buys some like that for me too occasionally. She brought me two other toys after cruelly abandoning me.

  36. Would you believe I have never been to Ikea? There’s one about 45 miles, I believe, but I have yet to go there. I’m afraid I’ll walk out with the store. 🙂 I love the photo with the lemonade stand! So adorable.

    Do you know the mom has never been to IKEA? The closest one to us is about an hour away so she’s never felt the need to drive that far to go. We hope you get to see your Grammie soon.

    1. WOW! I have been to 3 different ones, the closest being the one in New Haven, CT which was about an hour and 45 minutes away.

  44. We’ve seen those Ikea cat curtains and think they are great. Those mice are cute–we like all of the colors! We didn’t get a Chewy surprise for our yellow submarine–maybe it’s still in the mail?

    1. Sorry you didn’t get a surprise. Your submarine was awesome. I think they mix it up and randomly give gifts like some got at Christmas and Valentine’s, but we didn’t.

  47. What a great gift from Chewy! Mom has never been to IKEA. She thought they just had furniture and housewares. That’s a bonanza of ferries Mom Ellen found.
