Hi everyone! Only a few days until Christmas. Is everyone ready? If you still need something for your beloved kitty, I have a great idea for you.
These knotted blankets are so easy. All you need is 1/2 yard of a printed fleece and 1/2 yard of a solid color that matches. I already claimed a blanket for myself and I best get it for Christmas being that I do all the work around here and mom gave the new cat tree to her sister for her cats. I thought that was for me.
Sammy posed before mom cut and tied so you can get a better look at the cute kitty print on the fleece.
Rosie was in charge of measuring. All you do is line place the printed fabric on top of the solid and cut a 3 inch square out of each corner. Then make cuts all around the fabric, 3 inches long by 1/2-1 inch wide. Tie all the cuts into knots and that is all you have to do.
I hope you all have a nice Christmas despite COVID restrictions- better to be safe than sorry.

I love that fabric! My brother and SIL made me one of these blankets for my birthday one year – it’s well-loved and oft-used!
Thank you. 🙂 I bet Bear would love for you to make one for him. XO

You three were a big help to your Mom with the blankets. Too bad about the cat tree, Penny, but that was nice of your Mom to gift it to her sister for her kitties! 3 more sleeps, Meowing Crew! Santa is going to be on his way!

P.S. We may or may not be visiting Christmas Eve Day or Christmas since family is coming for Christmas meal at 2 different times. See you some time.
Thank you. 🙂 We hope you have a wonderful Christmas eve and day. XO
We used to have one of those! Mom made it back in Calgary and Queen Nellie took it to Vancouver…we are wondering what happened to it! We LOVE chewing on the knots! Yours is GORGEOUS!

Angel Ciara had a beautiful fleece blanket that one of our blogging pals made for her. Mom thinks she could make these no-sew ones for us too. Thanks for the idea.

You’re welcome. 🙂
We have a few of these blankets. Our mom can make them (imagine that!). And we’ll tell you a little secret…we sent one to our Secret Paws!
Someone is going to be very happy. XO
And one doesn’t have to be really crafty to make these…right up my alley!
Yes, they are easy.
We made a bunch of those blankets for the rescue where we adopted Wolfie and Tilly. The adopters get a blanket with each kitten.
That was so kind of you.
Mudpie loves these blankies SO much. She has 3 but I’ve never tried to make one myself.
I bet you could. 🙂
What a fun idea, thank you! For some reason, your blog is not coming up in my WordPress reader, and sometimes it doesn’t appear even when i go straight to your site on my tablet, i have to wait a day before it shows me your latest post. So if i a late commenting, it’s my equipment is not showing your posts.
To err is human but to really foul things up requires technology!
Thank you. 🙂 Sorry about that, I wish I knew how to fix it. XO
