Penny’s Tips Volume 59

Hi everyone! I have a money saving tip for you. Do you take a lot of photos? My mom sure does. She made an album of Millie photos and one of Prancie. Dad and I like to look at Millie’s photo book together.

The trouble is storing all the photos online. It can cost a lot of money per month for cloud storage. My mom has thousands of photos stored online for FREE. Hers are at Walgreens, but you can store them wherever you can order prints from like Walmart, CVS, Snapfish, etc. All you have to do is order prints once a year and they let you store all your photos on their site. Mom’s photos go back to 2009. How do you store your photos?

  1. We have a lot of photos at Walgreens too (where we get Cat Scouts cards) but Mom also keeps our photos on a flash drive. It’s important to keep those photos!

    Hugs, Teddy

  2. I don’t store any photographs except on my computer. I don’t really have all that many. We used to use photobucket and then they wanted so much money we left them.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. Hug to you and scritches to all the kitties. β™₯

  3. My cameras are digital, so gone are the day of hard copy photographs with the exception of select ones that I might wish to print which either I can do or send to Walmart or Target online to pickup in the store or sent to me. It’s quite affordable doing that. As far as how I’m storing my photos is, I have a copy on my computer, as well as on a couple of different external hard drives. We have Apple iCloud storage which I need to begin uploading my pix there for safety measure. I’m telling you the nightmare and cost there is to retrieve data from a computer is something I do not want to do again. That happened to us a handful of years ago. Thanks for the tip, though. I had no idea one can use any of these services for long term photo storage. That’s really good to know. Have a furtastic day!

  4. I use iCloud by Apple. Had I known about that which you use, I may have gone ahead with that. I have close to 10,000 pictures. Whew.

  5. I have so many photos. I store them in google photos and some on flickr. Still have tons on the computer that I’m trying to print and put in scrapbooks. Just when I think I’m getting things organized, I take more photos.

  6. I didn’t know this but it’s good to know! I have external hard drives but it would be nice to have an “extra” set kept elsewhere. πŸ™‚ – Thanks for stopping by yesterday!

  7. Penny, I store everything on my Macbook Pro, plus I have an external hard drive as back up. Am considering buying a 2nd hard drive, because one cannot be too careful with precious kitty photos!

  8. Mom has all our photos on her computer, on an external hard drive and backed up with Carbonite. She’s a little OCD about photos. We order cards from Walgreens too so many photos are there too.

  9. That’s a great tip, Penny. We store them on the laptop and an external harddisk, but going to make albums of them too, so we can look at them like in a real album…at least that’s the plan…MOL😸Pawkisses for a Happy TuesdayπŸΎπŸ˜½πŸ’ž

  11. Hi Penny we have Gmail and get 10gig of storage for free. We like that and now with Windows 10 we get another 10gig there but do not like that as much
    Thanks Penny

  12. Mine are all over the place! Luckily my cloud storage is only 99 cents/month though. Since I now take most of my photos with my phone it works out well. I’m trying now to get my other photos copied over to a flash drive, but boy is that time consuming!

  13. Penny, that sure is a good tip. Mom has a bunch of photos stored on Shutterfly, ’cause she’s made several memory books about family vacations. She plans to make one of my friend Pip this year, but I’ve noticed that she has lots and lots of photos on the computer that she hasn’t saved elsewhere in case the computer crashes. Can you believe that?!

  14. Penny, this is a purrfect tip that all kitty bloggers can use. I had no idea that you can actually store photos with Walgreens. I store mine on my Google Drive. I try to keep them organized, but my goodness there are so many of them. Purrs!
