Penny, petcretary used to do that with the children in the first grade when she was volunteering at the unfurbros school! Wow that was a VERY long time ago, MOL!

I wish pennies were a lot more worth than apples like …
1 pennie + 1 pennie = 20 pennies 😀
huggs Charlie
That would be nice 🙂
You know what Penny? Mom said her family did that for her!
She had smart parents 🙂 XO

If we had a whole lot of Penny’s that looked just like you, we definitely
would use Penny’s for counting …

Penny, as much as I like pennies, I LURV apples, and because of the odd weather we’ve had this year, we are told the apple crop is wonderful…so I’m looking forward to sinking my teefs into some juicy fruits soon.
Mom loves apples too 🙂

Back to schools means TBT cant go to the local deli at 2:30 cuz of all the high school kids looking for subs. He has to schedule grocery shopping to avoid that.

At this time of the year, there are also plenty of apples around, so they would work well too – and they could be a tasty reward when the lesson is over.
