Nosey Rosie’s Tips 54

Hi everyone. I must have been very good because Santa came early. Joanie, Emmy and I got the gift we asked for- a heated blankie big enough for us all to fit on at the same time.

Santa’s elves are getting lazy. They didn’t even wrap our gift- just a tag and a bow. Does anyone have the address for Santa’s customer service?

In other news, my folks had their annual party. The one day a year that they are extroverts. We were all locked in bedrooms for our safety. Mom made sure all the toys and the tv from their room was moved to a spare room for the kids to play with so we wouldn’t get disturbed.

I thought I was going to have a story about Mr. Potato Head’s missing lips, but mom found them when she went to unplug the tv. Remember the case of the missing kidneys last year? If not, click here.

Mom had a friend help her clean because she is lazy. Good thing he cleaned the ceiling fan because her niece’s hubby spun it around to amuse the baby. Mom would have been mortified if all the dust has come down like snow. My tip for you is to clean those ceiling fans if you are expecting company.

Well, that is all I have for today. I hope everyone has a nice Christmas and gets everything on their list.

  1. A lovely big blankie for the three of you. That sounds like a great gift. Of course you were a good girl! You all were.
As for Santa’s (lazy) elves – well, it has been getting hard to find good help these days, but maybe the problem lies with the Management. Best not to say so, however, if you want to stay on the Nice List (mol).

  2. WOW, that ceiling fan tip is GREAT! Not to mention being put in a separate room when a party is going on. Mama is thinking of doing that herself, haha. Just kidding, mama used to have dinner parties all the time to try out recipes and we always had a New Year’s gathering here in the village with about 30 peeps. No longer. I think I hear a sigh of relief…..Have a beautiful warm and cozy Christmas.

  3. And clean curtains, too…LOL! Ask me how I know that one!!
And look for cobwebs…teehee…housekeeping is not my forte either…only the bathroom and kitchen get regular attention…and the carpet…sheesh, those pups of ours leave clouds of fur!

Glad the party was a success.

  4. Well we hope this comment posts but even if it doesn’t we needed to say what a joy it is to visit here ANY time of the year but especially the holidays. Sounds like you had a great Christmas party and we hope Santa brings LOTS of goodies to all of you!!!

    Love, Teddy and Mom Pam

  5. This is the first time I’ve been able to see you. You all are very lovely kitties. That’s why you deserve a heated blankie. We want to thank your mommy for stopping by and seeing us so often all these years. I’m glad I can finally get into your blog, Merry Christmas from Precious

  6. Sounds like my house. Sgt Stripes has been using the spare bedroom. It’s only getting cleaned because my daughter and son-in-law will be using it Christmas Eve. (In our house, Santa never wrapped his presents. The elves were too busy doing other things.)

  7. Mom and I are BOTH grinning from ear to ear! Rosie, no one like you anywhere! You are the best gossip..er…I mean the best news reporter there is! Thank goodness the missing lips were found. I sure remember the missing kidneys!

  8. Oh and about twice a year is all…but I do remind momma to dust all the ceiling fans! Seeing fuzz up there is a downer.

    1. It was way longer than that since Mom cleaned ours- probably 2020 when she was trapped inside all the time. XO

  9. Here’s the address you wanted: 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888.

Love the gift too. Always good to get gifts.

I’m so happy you had a great party and that you cleaned the ceiling fan. That would have been awful.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. xo ♥

  11. Do we ever know about the ceiling fan crud! I am thankful Mr. Potato head got his lips back. I knew Santa would come through with the heated blanket 🙂 I do remember the missing kidneys. I am thankful Mr Potato Head got his lips back! Rosie, you did a great job today!

  12. Oh ~ what a delight ~ a warming blanket ~ enjoy kitties ~ what a great Mom ~ Xo

  13. Java Bean: “Company? What’s company?”
Lulu: “That’s when people who aren’t Mama and Dada come over to the house.”
Java Bean: “Eek! That sounds horrible!”
Charlee: “I agree with you, Bean!”

  14. Sometimes you have to focus on the gift, not the presentation.

Ceiling fan cleaning is one of those “do it the first weekend of the month” jobs, same as the A/C filters and cleaning gaskets on the fridge so you always remember.
