Hi everyone!  I have some good news to share- my Dad fixed my boat.

 

  Nice and sturdy again.

Now relax, I have a mystery story to tell you.  It is called The Case of the Missing Kidneys.

Remember my folks had a holiday open house back on December 19th. The Great One, Typhoid Mary and another child ( Dad’s cousin’s granddaughter) were all playing in the bedroom. I was in there too, but I was hiding. They were playing hospital and this was one of the patients.

This is a doll that unzips with all the organs inside, but after everyone left and Mom went to tidy up, she found the doll like this:

So she looked under the bed and found a few stuffed animals and most of the organs, bit the kidneys were nowhere to be found. Mom ran a broom under the bureaus, looked in every nook and granny. Then she called her niece and had her ask the kids if they knew where the kidneys were. They didn’t. Then she emailed the other kid’s Grandma and had her ask if she knew where they were- she didn’t either.

Mom picked the trash-yes, she does that often. They were not in there, but she did find a wooden fork that goes with Typhoid Mary’s pasta set. That was stuck to the packaging it came in.

What do you think happened to the kidneys? I’ll be back next week to continue the story.

My tip for you this week is don’t let kids play unattended or you may lose something important.

    MMM… Where are those darn kidneys? Could it be they joined other kidney beans in a can of kidney beans?

  5. Boy, just be glad the kids were not practicing on YOU, you darling kitty. And maybe, just maybe, that kidney looked so real that..er…say…a kitty might find it appetixing?

  8. Oh dear! Missing kidneys – that is a problem isn’t it. Hopefully the rest of the story includes information on where your Mom finally FOUND them! As for the boat – it looks more sturdy than it did before it fell apart and your Dad fixed it for you! Now you can sail around to your hearts’ content!

  9. Mom got the most tickled I myself have seen her in quite a while after seeing that doll that unzips! And the missing kidneys..I have to see them! She loves that doll!
