Nosey Rosie’s Tips 53

Hi everyone! Happy the Octopus had a baby.

Actually, he was adopted. Mom rescued him. He was for sale in the pet department at TJMaxx. Can you believe he almost ended up being some dog’s chew toy?

The elf on the shelf mom got to keep The Beasty Boys in line, he sleeps with the fishes.  See what I mean?

We have a lot of other toys he could sleep with, but he only likes the fishes.

We live with 4 feral cats and they are all better behaved than Rusty and Rudy ( AKA: The Beasty Boys). One of them buried mom’s facecloth in the litter box. She had to throw it away. At least the Christmas tree is still standing and almost every ornament is on it. Tuffy really likes red so he borrowed a red silk ball to bat around.

Mom and Dad are hosting their Christmas party this Sunday to be sure The Great One and Typhoid Mary will be here. There will be other kids too so I will be hiding. Actually, we will all be secured in bedrooms for our safety.

Well, that is all I have for news this week.

One more thing.. Mom forgot to post our Christmas card on the 9th so here it is:

The snail mail version hasn’t been sent yet because the post office was out of postcard stamps. Only 8 of us made the cut because there were no cards with 14 photo spots. As you can see, I made it. 🙂

We are thankful to all of you who visit us often. We want you to all have a wonderful Christmas ( or Hanukkah) and a happy, healthy 2023!

We have another card too- you’ll have to wait for Thursday to see that one.

  1. That’s shame that you couldn’t make/find a card with enough room for all of your kitties.
But the one you made is great!

That newly adopted/rescued octopus is cute! Has he been named yet?

Elf on the shelf figured out that fish were the least likely to give him a hassle, LOL!!

That washcloth story reminded me of the time that Benji stole my underpants, and took them way out in the yard and ripped them up! LOL! I don’t remember who, but one of our earlier kitties always tried to make of with my hubby’s socks…

    1. Thank you. 🙂 That is a funny Benjo story. One of my niece’s cats keeps stealing the baby’s socks. XO

  2. We love the new Octopus and “sleeps with the fishes” That made our Mom laugh so hard, coffee came out her nose! And we missed Christmas Card Day!?!? Oh No! We are going to have to kick Mom’s butt to get her to create ours (and post it a week late). Keep on being Awesome Rosie! Your #1 Fan Boy, Marv

  3. Sounds like there’s lots going on at your house, Nosey Rosie! All fun, except of course the loss of the facecloth … And the way those rowdy orangies are acting! Love the Christmas card, everyone looks adorable! XO

  4. Congratulations to the octopus on the new family member! Your Mom is brave to have a pile of kids over for a party. AND it’s a good thing all of you kitties will be SAFE in another room. It will be noisy but at least you’ll be SAFE!

    Hugs, Teddy

  5. I know it is quirky (maybe a little crazy) but I always give life to stuffies and it makes me sad to see them getting ripped up. Thanks for saving Little Octopus♥
    Beasty Boys!
The Christmas party tradition! I would love to be there, I just know that it has to be a lot of festive fun and food and a lot of laughter.

    1. Not crazy at all. I do the same thing. I rarely can part with anything that has eyes. You would be invited if you lived closer. XO

  6. We heard about a good book called
    Remarkably Bright Creatures
about an older woman who befriends an octopus. Your stuffed octopus made me think of that. I haven’t read it yet.

  7. Good to see that Happy the Octopus has a new home with you!
It will be quite busy at your place when the party happens. Head for cover! MOL!
A room of your own sounds good 😉

  8. What a wonderful place to hang out. Sleeping with the fishes isn’t always a bad thing.

Oh the tree. Some kitties can destroy a tree very nicely.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

    1. I tried to leave a comment on your website for Wordless Wednesday and when I hit post comment it says “Denied due to too many attempts???” I tried different ways but with no success. Both Rudy & Rusty look cute! 🙂 <3

        1. I just tried to leave a comment on today’s post Letters To Santa Part 2 but Go Daddy Firewall isn’t allowing it! The letters are cute! 🙂 <3

  9. We bet those Beasty Boys are a lot of fun. Oh, and congratulations to you all on the new Octopus baby. Glad you could save him from a slobbery woofie fate.

Thank you for the beautiful card. We love it!
