Nosey Rosie’s Tips 45

Hi everyone! It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

You know why? Because school is back in session. Which means I don’t have to hide and I can enjoy my You Tube Red String Video instead of YouTube’s Trinity and Madison which is pretty much like watching The Great One and Typhoid Mary. Mom said I remind her of the man in this old Staples commercial.

The Potato Heads are happy too. Whenever the kids are here, they have to hide so the Elsa and Anna dolls can live in their castle.  If they don’t move, they get their little faces rearranged.

What’s that mom? The Great One starts school on Tuesday, but Typhoid Mary’s preschool doesn’t start until next week. And she will be here all day Wednesday!! Drat!

Elvira is getting really brave. She even goes upstairs now. And mom clearly needs to run a dust mop over those steps.

Brody likes to chase girls. Mom always tells him I am not a squeaky toy because he makes me squeak. Well, he has met his match with Friday- she gives him a good chase.

Mom has some new pajamas and guess what they have on them? Nope, not cats-they have dogs, she says his name is Snoopy. What a traitor.

Daddy almost started on fire today. He was going to toast marshmallows for s’mores with a culinary torch and it went wild and burst out a bunch of flames. They ended up making them in the microwave and no one was harmed just scared.

Mom says I have to close now because she has to go to bed early.  Her and Grammie need to be at her niece’s house for 7:20 am for a first day of school photo. Mom took a first day photo of her niece from preschool thru college and she plans to do the same for her great-nieces.

That Staples commercial was a hoot. those kids look um…less than thrilled, LOL!

Sleep well,Ellen, those pics are sure to be precious treasures in later years.

  2. HA HA HA WE LOVED THAT STAPLES AD!!! And love all the gossip…Snoopy pajamas? Whoa…watch out, kitties. Your mama will be wearing Dachsund house slipper pretty soon…

  3. HAHAHA – we love that Staples commercial! Well Rosie it’s nice that you get a LITTLE break now that the girls are headed to school but of course they will still VISIT on non-school days so don’t get too comfortable with your freedom! We’re happy that Elvira’s curiosity got the best of her and she’s coming down the stairs once in a while…..AND what’s with your Mom getting DOG-jammies? There are lots of cute CAT-jammies so why go rogue? I suggest you drag those off to a closet somewhere that she can’t find!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. I am another lover of the Staples commercial! This post cracks me up this morning. OhMyGosh, don’t want the Potato Heads to get their little faces rearranged! So much news here this morning! Rosie, you got the FUNNY in you! Good news about Elvira and fun to see a photo of her. Brody and Friday… Friday teaching him a thing or two. I am a bit shocked that your Mom has PJs with dogs on them! I love the idea of first day photos… that is how we get to see our great niece and nephews on IG! This post was so much fun this morning, Rosie… well done sweetie!

  5. wow that is some good info! Snoopy PJ’s huh LOL … my my my!! It is good to see Elvira out! I’m glad that Dad didn’t start a fire because all that sounds pretty scary! Have fun at first day of school photos!!

  6. We never understood about those little people until we got a couple of our own (our human sister’s boys). We are not fans.

  7. Well done, Rosie. We’re all caught up now. I remember that commercial too. I felt that way when school started too. Peace and quiet for a bit each day.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Rosie. Scritches all around and a hug to mom. ♥

  8. MOL MOL MOL I have never seen that commercial or at least I don’t remember it
Hugs and best wishes to TGO and TM for a school year that is 100% normal
    Hugs Cecilia

  9. Charlee: “I don’t know what it is with boy cats chasing girl cats.”
Chaplin: “We do it because it’s fun.”
Charlee: “Uh-huh. Say, can I borrow Friday for a while? Maybe she’ll knock some sense into my idiot brother.”
Chaplin: “Nuh-uh. I want to chase you, not Friday. Anyway as long as one of the ones playing chase is having fun, it’s still a game.”
Charlee: “Ah, I see. Okay then. Hey Bean! Come here! Chaplin wants to play chase!”
    Java Bean: “Oh boy, chase!!!”
    Chaplin: (runs away)

  10. Excellent reporting! Those stairs look great compared to my carpeted cellar stairwell. Polly has festooned them with garlands of her floof. lol Hang in there through Wednesday.

Meanwhile, I enjoyed that old commercial (and remembered it!). The rearrangement of their little faces made me giggle. Sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.

I’m so glad a housefire was averted. My husband wants a culinary torch and I’ve said flat-out ‘no’. lol Best wishes and hugs to your parents.

    1. Mom is glad you remember that commercial too. 🙂 We are throwing the torch away. XO

  11. You are a very good reporter, Rosie. That ad made me laugh!

  12. We will have to let our huMom know you canmake S’Mores in the microwave. She made some over a candle once but it took quite awhile.
Good that Elvira is getting braver (or curiouser) !

  13. Rosie, i do enjoy your news recap. It’s especially funny about the Potato-Heads. “Get outta my castle or I’ll rearrange your face!” is what i hear in my mind, spoken by a couple of tiny girl gangsters.

School starting is a mixed bag, happy for some, awful for others.

No one can see dust on the stairs in a picture unless you write a message in the dust and then take a picture of that. Tell your mom she gets a pass if she can convince you not to mention it again.

  14. Nice tips, Rosie! That Staples commercial is so funny. 😀

We are glad Dad did not actually burn down the house, and happy to hear Elvira is getting braver!

  15. Rosie, this was a very interesting post. It’s good to see Elvira is exploring more. I remember the Staples commercial.

  17. So much going on! I’ve always loved that commercial. And I’m glad no one was hurt by toasting those marshmallows! xo
