Nosey Rosie’s Tips-13

Hi everyone!   Looks like you are stuck with me today. Penny is taking the day off because it was recently Tortie Appreciation Day and she thinks she deserves a vacation day.

I want to talk to you about Math. I know it takes me 3 pounces to wake mom up in the morning. And another thing I know is there are some new treats on the market that resemble yummy Squeezies.   Do you see the difference?

Here, take a closer look:

The new ones are in a much smaller package. Squeezies are .5 ounces and the others are .425 ounces. What a cheat! Don’t be fooled- demand the bigger packages.

And now here is my mom-

Hi everyone, we are up to the letter Q for The A-Z Challenge.  Q is for Quit. If something doesn’t make you happy then quit. I realize if it is a job then you need to find another one first. I don’t understand why some parents force their kids to keep taking lessons or playing a sport if they are not happy. If you don’t like something- quit.

  1. I can’t believe humans would try to pull one over on us kitties with those obviously smaller packages! My human’s mother forced her to take piano lessons for years, and she hated them and hated practicing. Finally her mother and the piano teacher decided she had no talent and it was okay for her to quit… and the next week she taught herself Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, one of the hardest pieces to learn! Maybe she wasn’t very good at it, but she enjoyed it a lot.

  2. Quitting is a good way to decrease stress, if you hate something…

You kitties should quit buying those treats until they go back to the bigger size…you know, a boycott….but of course first you have to find a good and yummy alternative treat:)

Older son loved piano lessons (At least until he was in highschool…), and younger son wanted to have a go at it too…but well, he was no musician…so after a year or two, we put him into gymnastics…and he loved it!
Yup, quitting was a good thing.

    1. Very true. We all have something we are good at, but sometimes it takes a while to find it. 🙂 XO

  3. That is a lot of difference in size! The bigger ones are probably better value too. Good advice from your mom. If it is something you really dislike there is no point in struggling on.

  4. Yeah those Temptations are tasty – don’t get me wrong – but I prefer VOLUME !!!! Don’t we all?????

Hugs, Teddy (supposedly on a diet…haha)

  5. Thanks for tips Nosey Rosie! I agree that continuing with something one doesn’t like is stressful. Best to move on.

  6. We’ve noticed that lots of stuff is smaller and more expensive. We demand that not happen too.

I agree that you should do something that you don’t want to do. Forcing kids to do things they don’t like to do is a very bad thing.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  7. That is wise advice your mom gave. My mother cried during my last band concert but didn’t argue. All my band buddies had graduated, taking away all the fun. lol Enjoy your full size snack! And I’m happy to have you or Penny giving tips. You’re both precious.

  8. I’ll have to look for those treats. My girls love their treats. I agree – if you don’t like something, quit. It’s harder to do with a job, but kids taking music lessons or involved in sports shouldn’t be forced.

  9. Grate Math skill Rosie!!! An what a JIP 🙁

    1. Rosie thanks you for backing her. I am glad your mum was able to get graded on what she could do instead of other stuff. XO

  10. Parents shouldn’t initiate a child’s extracurricular activity but I think if a kid starts something, they need the value of seeing it through til the end, even if it’s for one year/season. Sometimes as adults we have to do things we don’t like and quitting isn’t an option. If kids don’t learn this early on then they won’t have aspirations. As an adult, I can quit a job I don’t like because I found another I do like or I can quit a hobby or interest because it’s not working for me so I can move onto something else I’m interested in. Sometimes, staying on track like with the A2Z challenge gives one structure and allows one to focus or to have the feeling of accomplishment. That’s just my two cents on the matter, though. 🙂
