Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone! I am exhausted.

The girls were here on Thursday. They made vanilla ice cream and didn’t even offer me a taste. Typhoid Mary added purple food coloring to hers and The Great One kept hers plain.

They made a lot of slime too. They seem to like to make slime, but once it is made, they don’t play with it. Then I thought I was going to have a big break from kids because of their beach vacation and dance camp, etc. But no, all three were here on Sunday! And none of the little monsters even said hi to me- how rude. I have feelings, you know.

The boy and Typhoid Mary were playing with what looks like litter in a litter box.

I guess it was some sort of sensory bin with kinetic sand.

And mom continues to bring more Halloween items into the house yet she bugs Dad and Grammie to declutter.

NO vet appointments this week, but I peeked at Mom’s calendar and Rusty has an appointment next Monday and Brody has his annual cardiology appointment to get an echo next Thursday. I have a feeling I am going to have an appointment next as I am due for my rabies vaccine. Those are important even when you don’t go outside. A couple weeks ago, a bat got in mom’s niece’s house. I wish I had the video to show you the cats chasing it. It ended up getting in a window in the bathroom so they shut that door and opened the window for it to escape.

Well, that is all I have for this week. I am supposed to be safe from kids until the 23rd.

  1. Wow, Rosie! Lots of news and lots of activity! It does look like fun, but I understand how you could be tired, too. Really cute picture of you! XO

  2. WOW, so glad the bat did not get into their BELFRIES!!! What a week you have had, little repurrtor of news, And yes, little anthros can really wear out a kitty. Merci for the update. WHAT is kinetic sand???

    1. Thank you. 🙂 It is sand mixed with some kind of oil to make it easy to make sand castles. XO

  3. Rosie I’m not sure if I would have eaten purple ice cream anyway. Maybe the plane would have been good. It sounds like it’s going to be a busy week when all everybody goes to the doctor.

  4. Rosie, you will have to get on a lap and teach those kids manners! And maybe, if they make real ice cream again, you’ll get a taste. I bet your mom told you why more than a lick would not be good for you XX

  5. Your place is like summer camp with all the activities! Any kid would love it. Maybe not the cats so much. Hope you didn’t use their sandbox.

  6. Rosie ~ you are a sweetie in my book ~ glad the ‘girls’ had fun, though ~ hugs,

Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Yikes on the bat. I love bats, but not in my home.

It’s good that mom makes sure you have your visits with the vet. That’s most important for good health.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to mom. ♥

  11. Rosie, I see why you were exhausted! They could have given you just a tiny lick of ice cream, right? The three little ghosts are very cute. Yikes, a bat.. I am actually a bat lover but I would probably scream like a little girl if one was in the house.
I hope all the V E T appointments go well.

  12. Pretty eventful week. Hope the 4th wasn’t too scary for you. Oh, Halloween decorations are not classified as clutter, just so you know. haha Take care and keep an eye on everyone 🙂

  13. Rose, great gab fest report. We hope all those vet visits go very well for everyone. Your Mom is so good to let the kids play with all that messy stuff. That kinetic sand is fun, but it can make a big mess.

    Woos – Misty and Timber

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Mom lets them do slime, glitter and sand because their mom won’t let them at home. XO

  14. Visiting kids can be fun, Rosie but I know they can be exhausting too. You seem to handle it well-you looked fabulous.

  15. Now, let’s get this straight. You don’t like them and don’t want them around but get upset if they don’t greet you? Rosie, you need to just make friends with them the way their own animals have done, they won’t hurt you any.

Thanks for the news, though, and think about it. If they have cats of their own, they are safe.

  16. Java Bean: “Ayyy, I didn’t know it was possible to make your own ice cream! If we can figure out how to do that, we could have all the ice cream we want, and WE could be the ones not to share it!”
Lulu: “That’s an awfully big ‘if’, Bean.”
Oona: “Oona’s Dada says that Halloween decorations don’t count as clutter and Oona being a black cat, she agrees with him.”

    1. Mom thanks you and so does our resident black cat, Trouble. It is cheaper to buy ice cream on sale than all the ingredients. 🙂
