Hi everyone. Before Rosie blabs away, we want to give our condolences to Fenris’ mom and fursiblings. To visit, click here.
Hi everyone! Can you see me way up here? This is my new spot for when the kids are here- they can’t get to me up here.
I guess I can get down for now because I am safe until next week. Mom and Grammie are going to their house on Wednesday and Friday, but they aren’t coming here because they have places to go both afternoons.
I heard the recital was good. Typhoid Mary did a hip hop dance with a friend and The Great One and Typhoid Mary were in a group with 2 other girls for Acro, whatever that is. Mom was sad though that there were only 3 tap numbers.
I have a question for you all. Do you know if dna testing can be done on poop ? I ask because someone pooped on the kitchen floor and my mom said she was going to have it tested to see who did it. Just asking for a friend, you know.
My mom is crazy. She is so stuperstitious. She doesn’t think black cats are bad luck and she doesn’t mind Friday the 13th, but everything else- yikes! Here is a partial list of stuff she thinks is bad luck- walking under a ladder, shoes on a table, whistling inside, breaking a mirror, going back in the house after leaving, etc. Last week, she forgot her car keys so rang the doorbell to make Dad bring them to her.
No vet appointments this week. Penny’s appointment last week went well and she doesn’t have to go back for 2 months. She is going to continue the Atopica. Dusty has a recheck next week.
That is all I have for this week.
We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Charlee: “That is a great spot up there, Rosie! Highest cat wins AND you avoid the kids. You can’t go wrong with that!”
Chaplin: “It sounds like your mom is doing something right with the superstitions, since nobody is going to the vet this week. Sounds like good luck to us.”
Java Bean: “Ayyy, I sure hope they cannot do DNA testing on poop! Some dog pooped in the living room the other day and I would hate for that to get sent to the lab.”
Lulu: “We all already know it was you, Bean.”
Thank you. 🙂 I hope it can’t be tested either. *hit happens, right Bean. 🙂
Awww, we’re sorry to hear of the vloss of Fenris. That is a great new spot you’ve found for yourself, Rosie! Hmmm, no sure but I don’t think you can test poop for DNA. XO
Thank you. I hope you are right. XO
Yes on the poop…just a scoop ‘o da poop will do it! MOL!
Wow, Rosie, that sure is a high place!!
Fenris will be missed by anyone who ever got to know him, he was such a sweet hearted dog.
Uh-oh. I am in trouble, I mean my friend is. XO
That is a good safe spot, Rosie. If your mom is crazy so am I! I like black cats and don’t mind Friday 13th. I also agree with the unlucky ones your mom said. Also never start something new on any Friday. When we cut our own hay, if it was going to be ready for baling on a Friday Ivor would always go out the day before and cut two rounds of the field so it was started on the Thursday.
Thank you. :)My mom didn’t know that one. XO
We visited Fenris’v family and we’re so sorry. My mama says hats on the bed is a really bad thing and when you spill salt, you throw it over your shoulder for sure and when you pass it to someone at a table, you set it down first you don’t just hand salt to somebody and that’s an Italian thing And if you see the new moon through a glass window, you have to go outside and turn around three times to break the belt because you’re supposed to see the new moon only outside in the sky. That ought to keep your mama busy for a while.
Thank you. My mom didn’t know about the hat one or any of these- she can add them to her collection. XO
Rosie, can’t come back in after leaving, eeiiihh. How’s the mom to come back to feed the kitties!
I luv yer high spot. I used to git on the top of the kitchen cabinets, but fur some reason I stopped a long time ago.
She never forgets to deed us before leaving. I am still young and spry. XO
Rosie, you be careful up there! I am not superstitious, and Fri. 13th has always been a lucky day for me, and this last one didn’t prove any different. I am saddened to hear about, Ferris, and my condolences to the family.
Thank you. 🙂 I am careful. XO
That is a great hiding spot. No one can get to you!
No kid can, but my annoying siblings can.
Rosie OMCs
My Grandma always said whistling girls and crowing hens always come to a no good end.
I won’t walk on a crack in the side walk nor over the huge grates in sidewalks
Hugs Cecilia
My mom won’t either. XO
Rosie, that’s a great spot to be in! And I bet you can watch everything that’s going on from there.
Yes, I sure can. 🙂
Nice steppie steps up to your place on high, Rosie! Your Mom sure made it convenient for you… she is very nice that way. My Mom was very “stuperstitious” and I mean it drove me crazy. I do however believe the one about not going back to house for anything after you have left it. I know this to be true because I once went back for carrots for my horses and crushed my finger in the front door. Goody for no vet appointment for a week and that Penny’s visit went well!
Thank you. 🙂 Mom drives her great-nieces crazy with it too= especially the whistling indoors and she tells them it is bad luck to walk with one shoe on and one off. Sorry about your finger- ouch! XO
I got stuck on the poop and dna testing. I laughed out loud. I can see why mom wants to know.
I love black cats and Friday the 13th too. They are both lucky.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to your wonderful mom. ♥
Glad you got a chuckle. 🙂 Don’t tell mom, it was me. 🙂 XO
Thanks for the update, Rosie! I like your high up place a lot! That way you can keep an eye on everything that goes on. Have a good week 🙂
Thank you. 🙂 I hope you have a good week too. XO

Great hiding place! I’m glad Penny’s vet visit well. Great newsy post!
Thank you. 🙂
We were sorry to learn about Fenris earning his angel wings and left his family a note of comfort. That’s quite the safety zone! Wilson said he’d make a lousy cat because high places leave him dizzy.
Very sad about Fenris. Some cats don’t like being up high.
rosie…eye guess when a “cat” haz ta go….they…go !!!! tell mom thatz why catz due knot wear shooz….sew they can get on de taybull all de time 🙂 ♥♥

Very sad and unexpected. Maybe mom does have gypsy in her. XO
yay!!! sounds like we have a good week
Thank you. 🙂
Mom says tap isn’t as popular with the dance studios any more. The kids all prefer jazz and contemporary and modern. But she still enjoys a good tap number.
As for superstitions, our Mom says her mother always told her if she forgot something and went back inside to get it, she had to sit down in a chair before leaving:). So silly.
Glad the vet reports were good.
Woos – Misty and Timber
Mom’s favorite is tap, the hip hop not so much. 🙂
They’ll never get their grubby hands on you up there! Not sure about DNA on poop, but I think you (or the guilty party) are probably safe. MOL!
Thank you. 🙂 XO
That was quite the good report and yes, you look plenty safe way up there!
Thank you. 🙂
That’s plenty of news, friend Rosie, and yes, poop can be DNA tested. There’s a small town in France where they require every dog in the town to be DNA tested and registered, and if they find poop in a public place, they send a sample to be tested so they can fine the owner for not picking up.
As for the girls, they’ve never hurt any of the other cats, I think getting all the way up there is a bit of overkill.
Uh-oh! I am going to be in trouble, I mean my friend is.
Awww… You’re all so precious. Best wishes to you all.
Thank you. Best wishes to you too. XO
Haven’t heard of some of these superstitions before, Rosie.
If there were children at Eastside Cats, I’d be up on top of the cabinets too, looking down but not engaging!
The safest place. 🙂
That’s a great hiding place. Glad you have a break from vet visits. Great update!
Thank you. 🙂
That is an excellent hiding spot. Gypsy has a similar one here.
Thank you. 🙂 XO
