Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone! What a week it has been, Typhoid Mary struck again. Mom is sick, but it is not COVID, just a miserable cold. She was here all day Thursday and then by Saturday night mom had a sore throat.

Mom went shopping with Grammie on Friday and came home with this giant skunk that she convinced Grammie to buy her because it reminded her of Emmy.  My mom is a bit crazy. That don’t look like Emmy to me.

All day Monday, she couldn’t get online with wi-fi. Comcast was not helpful at all. She can get online with the ethernet cable, but it is a pain to sit at the kitchen table instead of on the couch where she likes to be. Even Rudy tried to help, but didn’t get anywhere.

This Wednesday would have been mom’s sister’s birthday so mom, her niece and Grammie are going to a large medium. Mom is hoping she gets a message from Emmy and/ or Sammy too.

I am not sure if I will write next week or if Penny will. She is in a bit of a funk because mom’s friend told her she was getting chunky.

  1. Nosey Rosey, that’s a thorough and interesting report! I hope your Mom recovers quickly from the cold! XO

  2. Lots of news this week. Rosie. That is a cute skunk. I hope your mom is soon feeling better.

  3. Hope your Mom is over her cold soon – a Spring cold is a tradition though (!). I think that skunk is pretty darn cute (and big!). Maybe your Mom will get a message from somebody on the other side. My Mom has never gone to a psychic but always thought it would be interesting to do. Penny certainly did not look chunky when she helped Chef Teddy last week for the Saturday “bacon” cooking event!

    Hugs, Teddy

  4. Oh my goodness Rosie, there is so much going on at your house right now. If I were you I’d lay low until some of it calms now. That’s what I do here, just hiding till it all comes down. But we do like the black and white skunk and I guess that’s why your mom wanted it because it’s black and white. Humans are what humans are you know. Be sure to give us a good update next week if Penny does not.

  5. Rosie, my goodness, you have a lot in your plate! And n you are not chunky! You’re gorgeous. there are always jellus ones who say things like that! Don’t you believe it.

  6. I hope Mom feels better soon. You should know when I clicked the link to go to your post I got a warning saying it might not be safe.

  8. Rosie, so sorry your Mom has a bad cold. I guess she will take a hit from a cold to have had the joy of being with Typhoid Mary.. Hahaha. Perfect the stuffie is a skunk! I hope your Mom does get a message from Emmy and Sammy. That would be very special. I do not think Penny looks chunky!

  11. Chaplin: “Look, Charlee! It’s a giant Emmy and Charlee toy!”
Charlee: “I AM NOT A SKUNK AND NEITHER WAS EMMY!”
Lulu: “For what it’s worth, our Dada thinks the toy looks a bit like Totoro, if Totoro were wearing a tuxedo …”

  12. When children are in school or day care, they carry germs. Nothing they can do about it.

I hope the skunk reminder of Emmy brings comfort to your mom.

Tell Penny she’s just fine and sometimes people are trying to make themselves feel better about themselves by criticizing others. We’d love to see her here next week, or you, or any-cat who wants to be featured.
