Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone! Thank you all for the Gotcha Day wishes last Friday.

I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving. I scored a little turkey.

Mom made turkey soup, turkey salad and turkey tetrazzini. She said she doesn’t need to see turkey again until next Thanksgiving.

Grammie and mom went out shopping on Black Friday. Mom scored a purple Furby for Typhoid Mary. They are hard to find, there are a lot of orange ones though. She was afraid it was going to be like 1998 when she was supposed to get her niece a Furby for Christmas and she didn’t get to Walmart early enough to score one and they were sold out everywhere.

The boys are trying to be good because they think the elves are watching them. At some point, one of them was naughty and broke this Sheldon ornament mom keeps out year-round. She didn’t even know it was missing until she found the base of it peeking out from under the couch. It survived The Great One drowning him in water a few years ago, but couldn’t survive The Boys.

Well, that is all the news I have for this week.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

    1. It was yummy. The ornament was able to be glued. Yes, purple is her favorite unless there are 2 items and one is pink and one is purple- she will want the pink because her sister does. XO

  1. Sounds like everyone had a very good time for Thanksgiving! Glad you got some turkey, Rosie! I sympathize concerning the boys and the ornament; we have some rowdy boys, too. XO

  2. Oh, poor ornament. I’ll bet there are others that can take its place, non? Those elves are always watching, kitties, always watchin….mama is so dumb, she had to look up Furby.

  3. OMC!!! A Furby does EVERYTHING! Mama just didn’t know that your collection had such TALENT…24 languages indeed! Great info on Google about these amazing toys. Mama is so dense sometimes…get with the program, MAMA!

  4. Typhoid Mary will be delighted with her Furby! I am glad you got some turkey, Rosie.

  5. Well Rosie never a dull moment at your house! I guess Mom was a little upset about the Sheldon ornament….maybe SOMEONE will get her a new one for Christmas??? My Mom and Dad are getting tired of turkey too – Mom says she’s going to make PIZZA for Christmas dinner (just kidding ). Glad your GOTCHA day was fun.

    Hugs, Teddy

  6. Dear Rosie, you look like you’re on such a soft warm blanket today. Too bad about the toy getting broken. I remember those crazy Furbies from years ago and hope Typhoid Mary likes hers.

  7. Thanks for the gossip, Rosie. I am sorry to hear about the Sheldon ornament and I hope T.M. enjoys her Furby.

  8. This is why we don’t make a turkey anymore. To many meals left over and I get tired of turkey like you do.

Way to go on scoring that toy. You rock.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. xo ♥

  10. I always look forward to these. 🙂 In the 1990’s I shopped Black Friday exactly one time, with my sis-in-law and nieces. Your mom is far braver than this gal. ~nods~ I’m sorry about her ornament. 🙁 Is it at all repairable? Hugs to you and yours, my dear.

    1. My mom and Grammie are nits for a bargain. Mom is willing to deal with people to save money. XO

  11. I’m glad your mom got the Furby. I’m glad I don’t have to search for the “in” toys at this time.

I hope your mom can find another of those ornaments, although this time she might have to display it differently to protect it.

  13. I’m so glad your Mom found a Furby for TM! Who knew she would love a Furby?! I had one and I was pretty old then… I mean too old. The kid in me won out… Hahaha. Rosie, so happy you had turkey. Oops on the ornament… it was just a little lapse I’m sure. Don’t want to have to start calling them the Hooligans again!

    1. She marked it off in the Walmart and Target toy catalog. 🙂 Mom has many furbys – she somehow ended up with her mom’s and niece’s in addition to her own. XO

    1. Yes, they sure are. They better watch out though or they will get coal for Christmas. XO
