Hi everyone! I have a lot to tell you since I last got to chat with you.

First, I have some sad news. My cousin, Nixon( named after the baseball player Trot Nixon) went to The Rainbow Bridge last week. He was mom’s niece’s cat, he lived here for the first 4 and a half years of his life when his mom lived here. He was 16 and a half and got a blood clot. He was such a handsome Maine Coon.

Penny has been super busy helping mom and dad.

I think she told you about the quilts she is having made for The Great One and Typhoid Mary. Mom had to trace circles on pink fabric and hearts on fabrics from her sister’s shirts. Dad had to cut them out because mom can’t even cut out a coupon without cutting off half the code. Typhoid Mary is only 4 and cuts better than she does. Penny supervised the entire project.

Now, mom’s friend will hand sew all of the hearts onto the circles and the circles onto the quilts.

The Red Devils Beasty Boys are still wild. Rusty has a big scratch on his nose.

I am going to tell you a secret, but you can’t tell my mom. I did it. The little brat is always chasing me when he sees me so I hid under the coffee table and he stuck his shnoz under there so I whapped him good. I bet he didn’t learn a lesson either.

Well, I have to go work on my Leprechaun Trap. See you next week.

    You scratched Rusty??! Whoopsie!! Maybe he will avoid you for a while…but maybe he just wants to play? (Though it must be hard when all of a sudden there are three newbies in your dwelling.)

  6. Rosie there’s always something going on at your house…..we are sorry about Nixon – Maine Coons are big like me and sweet like me. The quilts are going to be amazing and such sweet reminders for the girls too. We promise we won’t tell your Mom about the “Rusty Incident” !!!

  7. Oh my goodness Rosie, you had so much news to tell us. We are sorry about the kitty that has gone over the angel Bridge that is always so sad. But look at that beautiful quilt with you. That’s amazing. And you’re keeping the boys in line and that’s the way it should be with a girl kitty. Precious

    1. I know my mom loves the quilt! She said it reminds her of the three quilts that her mom made for my brothers. They are still in use. The girls there will always love the quilt you made for them.

    I’m looking forward to seeing the beautiful finished quilts.
    Sometime a whap on the nose works. Rusty obviously will need to attend remedial classes.

  12. Rosie, we are so sorry to hear that sweet Nixon made his journey to the Rainbow Bridge. It sounds like he lived a long and happy life, though, and that makes us happy for him.

    Those quilts are going to turn out beautiful. Memory blankets are such a wonderful thing to help us remember our loved ones.

    Oh, and some of the kitties around here often have scratched up noses from pestering their siblings. None other than calico Tonks actually has a cut on her nose right now, and most likely her sister Winky gave it to her. Those two just can’t get along anymore.

    The quilts for TGO and TM will be a memory and gift they will cherish. I am sure Penny is a big help.

  16. I’m sad to learn about Nixon’s passing. 🙁 Those quilts will be awesome! I have the steadier hands here. lol This morning I filled out credit card information for my husband to pay some medical bills.

  17. I would never tell on you, but you need to be nicer to mom. Not everyone can cut coupons. You did make me chuckle though. I’m glad you got your revenge too. Rusty didn’t learn a thing though.

  18. I am so sorry about your cousin, our kitty cousin passed from the same thing a few weeks ago. I just love your brother Rusty, (sorry!!), he is a cutie!! But…I don’t blame you for whapping him! Sometimes those youngsters have to learn!
