Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone!

I am so mad at Grammie. She called me Daisy. Do I look like Donald Duck’s girlfriend?

Joanie has to go to the vet for blood work today. That happens every few months to check that her thyroid meds are still the correct dose and to check kidney values.

Mom is getting mad at Dad because he still hasn’t gone through those boxes she left for him and there are many more once he finishes those. She wants to be done decluttering by the end of June. Then July and August she has lots of plans with The Great One and Typhoid Mary. She bought a cotton candy machine for The Great One for Typhoid Mary’s birthday. Yes, you read that correctly. Mom and Grammie always get a gift for whoever doesn’t have a birthday so that one won’t feel excluded. No gifts for The Boy yet though because he won’t even notice. And I don’t even get a gift because I don’t know when my birthday is. So unfair.

There is a hummingbird that keeps teasing Tuffy. It flies right in front of the window and looks at him. It is almost like he is saying,”neener neener can’t get me. ” Tuffy gets frustrated, it is pretty funny.

Well, that is all I have for this week. Penny will be here next week.

I am off to find some good hiding spots for when the kids are here.

  1. WOW Rosie…(not Daisy!!!) I like reading your complaints! They are always reasonable and you should never have to deal with those things. A cotton candy machine!? WOWZERS! Talk about a great gift!!! I love how you all do birthdays. I never thought of that when my boys were having birthdays. I enjoyed seeing you leaving for UTB! And your Dad probably needs to get crackin’.

    1. She calls me Daisy once more and I am contacting my attorney- tell Katie to be ready. XO

  2. At least the things to be ‘decluttered’ are in boxes…here its just strewn all over hubby’s office room….sigh…the fire marshall would have some words…LOL!

Those birthdays are going to be FUN and memorable!

    1. SOunds like you need to put the stuff in boxes for your hubby. 🙂 XO

  3. Rosie, you really high-tailed it OUT of there!!! Very skillful. A COTTON CANDY MACHINE? Whoa…as for decluttering, maybe your mama could promise your papa shiatsu treatments for life or rosemary focaccia and spaghetti alla carbonara or a little red Ferrari or…wait a minute…find his Achilles heel and work from that….

  4. That wasn’t nice to call you Daisy! Ivor hoards magazines. He has a huge collection of tractor magazines that take up so much room. He says he might want to read them again but he never does. I have given him the ultimatum that he sorts the ones he needs to keep or the lot will go for recycling.

  5. I hope your Mom is ready for lots of sticky fingers and sticky furniture when the girls use that cotton candy machine! Tee Hee Sorry your Dad isn’t cooperating in the GREAT DECLUTTERING but I think your Mom will eventually win that war and he’ll tackle those boxes of STUFF. Thanks for the spy report.

    Hugs, Teddy

    1. That is why she is bringing it to The Great One’s house- MOL! XO

  6. Dear Rosie, as a kitty cat I feel very strongly that you should get a birthday present every month simply because you don’t know which month is yours. Now how in the world can any mommy not do that. And maybe your mommy just needs to take those plastic boxes and quietly haul them away one at a time until they’re just poof gone. Precious

    1. I think that is a great idea for my gifts and my mom likes the declutter idea. 🙂 XO

  7. Awww, Rosie, you should get a get gift every day because you are a gift. Thanks for keeping us informed on what’s happening at your place.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Nope, never had a Daisy. Joanie’s values are up a bit so she needs a little more thyroid meds. XO

  9. Daisy? The nerve.

Dad better get with it on the decluttering. We’ve done a lot of it and are still finding things that we no longer need or use.

Cotton Candy machine? I’ll be over for that birthday party.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Ellen. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

    1. I know, he really needs to get moving. If you lived closer, you could come over. XO

  10. Our Mom use to get gifts for siblings when they were to little to understand. Now the youngest [of 8] is going on eleven so she does not have to do that any longer! Good luck on the de-cluttering! It really makes you feel good when you finish!

    1. That must have been a lot of gifts to get. 🙂 Thank you. 🙂 I wish I could convince my hubby of that.

  11. Some people might say that when you’re a well-loved kitty, efurry day is like your birthday/gotcha day. Perhaps Grammie sees a daisy when she looks at you, Joanie. Not a bad thing, really. I wonder what the hummingbird sees. I hope your thyroid levels came out well. My Domino took medication for that. Hugs, Wendy & Dani.😻

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Joanie’s numbers went up a bit so she needs a tiny bit more meds. XO

  12. Oona: “That hummingbird sounds annoying. Just like how the fish in the tank taunt Oona, floating in the tank behind their force field.”
Lulu: “It’s not a force field, it’s glass to hold the water—”
Oona: “OONA CANNOT GET THROUGH IT, SO IT IS A FORCE FIELD!!!”

  13. Things sound in a bit of an uproar ~ Sweet kitty ~ don’t fret ~ you are beautiful and the nerve to call you ‘Daisy’ ~ lol ~ Xo

  14. Aww, we hope your mom will give your dad some leeway on the decluttering. I’m just about finished with the book she recommended and while it would be wonderful if we all could go through out ‘stuff’ sometimes it’s hard for some of us. Taking time and making incremental progress is better than doing nothing. 😉 At least that’s what I’m telling myself. LOL

    1. That approach hasn’t worked for the past 30 years- no more leeway for him. 🙂

  15. My human guy doesn’t like to give up things, either. ~sigh~ Your valid complaints still made me giggle. lol Sorry. Blessings to you and yours, my dear.
