Hi everyone! Did you miss me last week?

I am tired, it was a busy week. The Boy got to come over for a visit. He is not as loud as the girls so it was OK. I am glad Friday was willing to be the nurse so he could be a doctor. That is not in my job description. All mine says is to report gossip and look cute while doing it.

The painter was supposed to come last week and he did not.

Rudy went to the vet last week. He was supposed to have a dental last December, but when Dad’s sister passed away they got very busy and canceled .He is scheduled for one at the end of September. The vet heard a murmur ( grade 1) so he is going to have an echocardiogram in early September before his dental.

Brody has an appointment for blood work on Wednesday. If his potassium is OK then his dental will be scheduled.

And Penelope just started her thyroid meds. She will get rechecked in 6 weeks to be sure her dosage is OK.

Our state had a tax-free weekend. Does your state do that too? I guess everyone in my family is going to sleep better, myself included. Grammie got a new mattress, mom’s niece and her hubby did and so did my folks. I sleep with my folks so I guess I got a new one too. The old is almost 30 years old.

  3. Hooray for everyone getting a new mattress. Our state no longer has a tax free weekend. The state discontinued the event after 2016 and has not reinstated it for 2026. I hope all the medical issues are resolved, and I think it’s time to find a new painter.

  4. Rosie we are so very glad to see you today. Glad you didn’t have to play doctor and nurse. Just report on it so we can read about it. Isn’t that nice you now have a new bed to sleep on! We’re having terrible storms here last night and today. I expect I’ll be under the bed a lot.

  5. Hope all the vet appointments go OK…..! We don’t have a tax-free thing (at least not that I know of) but we could use a LOT of new stuff anyway!

    No chance of the vet’s office giving you a discount for two cat dentals?
    Hahaha.

  11. You’re doing your job and that’s all you have to do. Gossip and looking cute. You nail that.

    Lots of medical things for the kitties. I hope everything works out well.

    California taxes you three or four times for everything. Nothing like that will happen here.

  15. We had tax free weekend too, but Mom missed it. Oh boy, new beddies for everybody! You have a pretty cushy job. We hope all vet things turn out fine and that Penelope does well on her meds.   16. You are always missed, Rosie! Fingers crossed for all the medical procedures to work out. Hope Penelope’s thyroid medicine is correct. A new mattress is always a treat!

  19. Lots going on at your house! No tax free weekends here anymore. Vermont is too money hungry for that.

  20. As much as we miss you on your week off, remember you deserve a week off and continue to take it.

    I hope everyone can get a dental who needs one.

    They won’t do a tax free weekend here. They’re too busy raising the taxes and making everything harder for us.

  21. Sure does sound like a lot is going on there. I’ve never heard of a tax free weekend, but that sounds pretty nice!
