Nosey Rosie’s Gabfest

Hi everyone!

I survived the home vet last week. I am proud to say I was the bestest of all the cats. I purred when she gave me a checkup.

Everyone else was horrid. Trouble was the worst of all. She even bit dad when he tried to catch her. The only one of us to get bloodwork was Penelope. Mom is still waiting for her results. And for the first time in years, we are all legal with up-to-date rabies shots.

Mom asked Grammie how much she thought I weighed and she guessed 30 pounds!!! That is what The Boy weighs. How much do you think I weigh?

Mom and Grammie are celebrating Christmas in July with the kids this week. They made a Harry Potter themed tree today and tomorrow they will do presents. Not the best photo, but they made 4 kinds of ornaments including magic wands, the golden snitch, a flying key and mini versions of the books. And The Great One made the tree topper with the owl.

I saw my mom wrap gifts for all their cats, but none for us which is not very fair.

The Slime Dancer ( formerly known as Typhoid Mary) made some more videos with her dolls.

The painter might be here on Thursday, but he still wasn’t sure of his schedule.

Well, that is all for this week. Next week Friday will be here with her fib game so I can have a little break.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

  1. Rosie, you are such a good reporter and a nice gal for the vet too. I wonder what the vet thought about all your furblings being naughty for her…
Those were cute videos that TM/SD made. She sure is full of imagination and energy!

    I think you might weigh somewhere between 12 & 13 pounds…
I hope that painter doesn’t keep putting you off. Our son is up for a new roof, and they are putting him off all the time too. Good thing it isn’t an urgent issue.

    1. Thank you. 🙂 And thank you for watching the videos. Close guess- I am 11 pounds. I am surprised all these workers are so busy when everything is so pricey. xO

  2. YAY! The home vet visit was done and everyone is caught up on shots…..No matter WHAT you weigh it won’t come close to mine so you stay slim and trim and I’ll take care of the BIG GUYS department. Now, you all behave when the painter is there OK?

    Big Hugs, Teddy

  3. Rosie you had quite an update for us today. Glad you were such a good girl in the vet came. I like the Christmas tree especially that giant owl. I think everybody had a fun time except for you maybe.

  4. Rosie, thank you for scoop, and what a good kitty you are. The other kitties that were naughty for the vet could a thing or two from you. I would guess you’re 10-12 lbs. I can’t tell if you are smaller than, Callie, and she is 14 lbs. Have fun celebrating, Christmas in July.

  5. Sounds like the vet visit went sort of well. Maybe except for the bite. Hope everyone is good.

  6. You look pretty slim to us, you darling gossip-monger! And so glad you kitties are vaccinated. Could’t open the video without signing in to something or other..would love to seeit!

    1. Thank you. 🙂 Sorry the video wouldn’t let you in. Not sure why that happened. XO

  7. Good job with the vet. It’s also good that everyone is legal now. Bravo.

    Christmas in July. How fun.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to your wonderful mom. ♥

  11. Trouble!!! Who isn’t any trouble at all… what happened, Trouble? Biting your Dad? Well, hope your Dad’s hand is okay. We all know you were scared. Rosie you are a purry good girl. Hope all is well so Penelope can get her dental.
The tree topper owl is delightful. Christmas in July is a great thing… it helps to forget the weather and get us ready for fall!

    1. Not sure what came over her. I guess she took a fright. Yes, it is a fun way to cool off. XO

  12. Rosie, I think you weigh 11 pounds and what a good girl you were, Trouble…gee whiz! Was that necessary?
Loved the videos. It was like sitting there in the room enjoying it in person. I love youngsters like that!

  13. How nice that your vet comes to your house. That must make it so much easier on your peeps as long as you don’t run and hide.

Typhoid Mary did a great job with her videos. She is very creative.

    1. She doesn’t usually travel this far, but with needing 6 cats seen it was worth her trip. Thank you. She loves to create videos, cardboard doll houses, etc. XO

  14. Rosie, spilling the tea!
Have a mark on my thumbnail from Henry’s bite that won’t grow out for months, but I hope Trouble didn’t hurt your dad too much.

  15. 30 pounds??? That was just rude! I’m going to guess 12 pounds. (Mudpie is 20.4! Not complaining…even the vet is happy her appetite is so good.)

  16. I’m guessing you weight eight pounds, at most. ~nods~ All we ask is that you be healthy, happy, and comfortable. 😀 Those videos are precious. What strange days, though, when kids have Youtube channels. lol Take care!

    1. Awww…thank you. You are the sweetest person ever. I am actually 11 pounds. Yes, many do. XO

  17. Hi Rosie. Maybe 10-12 lbs? I dunno…I’m not very good with guessing weight or age. Whatever, I think you look great. Glad the at home vet visits went well for the most part.

  18. It’s hard to believe Trouble would bite, she must have been terrified and so was your Dad, I’m thinking. Anyway, I’m glad you behaved, Rosie, and glad everyone has had a check-up now. (Except, I am thinking, the feral cats, which are not touchable, but it’s okay.)

The Christmas in July tree is most unique, I’m glad they had fun.

    1. No exam for the ferals, but they got the rabies vaccine and 2 of them got mats shaved off. XO

  19. Charlee: “Purring for the vet! You will never catch me doing that. If the vet ever came to the house somebody would have to drag me out from under the sofa to see them. I probably wouldn’t bite, but I would definitely scratch while trying to escape, but only accidentally.”
    Lulu: “Accidentally. Riiiiight.”
Charlee: “I extend my claws to get a better grip for fast getaways. You would do it too if your claws were retractable!”
