Awww…Monday

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays.

Dusty is checking out my haul from the book sale I went to with my hubby on Saturday.

I used to go to a lot of book sales, but now this is the only one I attend. I get most books from the library, but I like to have some on hand for emergencies (like when the weather is bad and I can’t get to the library).

  1. Looks like a good “haul” from your book sale! That should last you a week or two (tee hee) as you are quite the avid reader. Enjoy!

  3. I’m just like you. Even before covid I always had a stack of books that I bought somewhere very cheap. And since covid I keep even more and I do occasionally read them. Looks like you got a nice selection.

  4. Book sales are dangerous things, but I still love them.

Dusty, thank you for showing off your mama’s books.

  5. Oona: “That is a lot of books, Dusty. That one ‘Amelia Bedelia’ reminds Oona of her full name.”
    Charlee: “Your full name?”
    Oona: “Oona Banoona.”
Charlee: “That’s not your full name. That’s one of your nicknames.”
Oona: “THEN WHY IS IT SO LONG???”

  6. Nice stash! I haven’t thought of Amelia Bedelia since the days our girls were young. What a flashback! Happy reading and have a boogietastic week, Ellen and furriends! xo

  7. Awww, you’re such a cutie pie.

Having a stack of books to read is a wonderful thing.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, Ellen. Scritches to all the kitties and a big hug to you. ♥

  8. Your mama and mine are reading crazies!!! Mama reads on Kindle and her stepdaughter disapproves but mama can’t hold heavy books in bed easily…haha. Wonderful haul your mama has….

    1. Yes, we are. I understand reading the Kindle because some books are pretty heavy. XO

  9. I foresee a lot of fun for your great nieces and nephew. ~nods~ And now I want to read “Thriving as an Empath”; sometimes it can be a burden, for sure. ~sigh~ Will Dusty let that adorable tail be used as a bookmark? lol I cooked more green tomatoes than we could eat in one sitting and wish you could swing by for some. 🙂 Hugs and best wishes, my dear.

    1. It is a one year page a day book, but when I am done. I can send it to you. I wish I could too- to visit you and enjoy your cooking. XO

  10. Our Mom has a big collection of Amelia Bedelia books. The grands always loved them. Now she hopes to be able to share them with the great-grands if she lives long enough to have some:)
