Moose Monday

Hi everyone! Today is Moose Monday. A few months ago when the Canadian Cats returned my bikini they sent us a moose. DSCF0832 He is cute, isn’t he?  Mom wanted them to send cow kitty, but this guy is pretty nice. He came like this for easy travel: DSCF0839  Thank you Kali and Shoko.

DSCF0834  OK, I said you were cute, but back off, I have a boyfriend.

The funny thing is, my folks have never seen a moose around our house. They have seen foxes, turkeys, deer, coyotes and even a bear. Then last week, Dad saw a moose walking down the road. I guess this guy told his friends this was a moose friendly area.

Today is the day to reveal our theme for the April A-Z challenge. Our theme is cat books, Mom already has her list ready and the titles or the author’s last name will start with the letter of the day. On one day, the main kitty’s name in the book is the letter because X is a toughie. There is still time to sign up for the challenge: click here

Tomorrow we have a fun game planned so please stop by.

  1. We love moose, and would be thrilled to see one! Yours is cute!

I have considered the A-Z challenge. I would have to make a list of posts and be ready…hmmm…I wonder if I have time to prepare. Think so?

    Hugs!

  2. You have MOOSE in your neighborhood? And not just your little pal? Wow! Out where we live, we don’t see anything like that.

  3. Love the Moose!!! Looking forward to your cat books – gives us more fun stuff to read and review! Love to all, especially Penny, Millie and Joanie. Prayers for Spooky and Phoebe are ongoing. We love you all.

    1. I am looking forward to your presidential pets- that is a great idea. Thank you for the prayers. We love you all too XO

  4. We have never seen a moose here either…….a bear once, lots of deer and groundhogs, skunks, raccoons but no moose!! How nice that you received your very OWN moose from Shoko’s Mom and Dad. Hope you have a super duper Moose Monday!

    Hugs, Sammy

    1. Same here, I have seen a bear right in our yard, but never a moose. That little moose is so cute. XO

  5. Moose! Yours sure is nice, and I bet the one your dad saw was pretty cool, too.

I love that the challenge is based on books. That’s going to be so much fun! I can’t wait to see what all books and authors you feature and introduce us to. Purrs!

    1. I made sure I picked a theme that wasn’t too much of a challenge for me as I had already read a lot of the books. As I recall , your Mom did all things related to kidney disease- I am sure that took a lot of research and time.

  12. That’s a cutie moose ya got there! I don’t know if there are any around these parts or not but I’ve sure not seen any!

  13. It’s cool that you have your very own moose and he let his friends know you’re a moose-friendly area.

  14. Wait…a moose was walking in your neighborhood?? That musta been something to see.

    Good luck on the challenge.

Oh, and we got the Tabby Downton book today. The mom loves it and will read it to us real soon. Thanks for the toys too! 🙂

  15. That’s a cute little moose! How cool there was a big moose in your neighborhood too! Our mommy has never seen a real moose even in Alaska so she’s going back to Alaska this summer to try and finally see one!

  16. No moose here either…but where our uncle lives, they have them there. If you are Canadian like meowmy is, then there are moose on the regular quarters (25cents)…And sometimes there is a spawsial moose that waves the Canadian flag, and he is in other Canadian themes too…so…that makes your moose furry spawsial indeed!

  17. We loved the post Phoebe! That little moose sure travelled many miles to get to your place. Mom has seen several moose around the outskirts of town….she saw about 3 eating in a field one day last year. Elk are not around this area but in Jasper National Park….about a 3 hour drive from here…there are plenty of elk. Mom and dad drove around the Ice Fields in Jasper and there were fields woods with lots of elk visible. I’d never leave the house if I saw a moose or an elk.

    Shoko

    1. Glad you liked the post, we love our little moose. 🙂 I have never seen an elk either.
