Mewsic Monday

Hi everyone. Thank you all for the kind words, prayers and purrs you left for us for Prancie. I knew when I left the house Wednesday morning to go to jury duty that it was the day Prancie would leave us. I was scraping the ice off my car windows and heard the Phoebe bird. I don’t usually hear it this time of year. I knew that meant Phoebe had come for her friend.

The next day, I was driving over to visit The Great One and Prancie’s song was on the radio. I know that was a sign too. Prancie’s song is a disco song from the 1970’s and is rarely on the radio. I have chosen that for my Mewsic this week. I used to change the words and sing to her ” Do a little dance……Prancie Pants”. Up until a few years ago, she did prance around like she was dancing.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Mewsic Moves Me hosted by Curious as a Cathy,Xmas Dolly, JAmerican Spice and Stacy Uncorked. The theme for Mewsic Monday is choose your own this week. Here is my song:

I  can’t believe I took this photo of Prancie just a week ago.

I want to keep her memory alive with Prancie’s Prayer so I am offering the Kindle version for free from January 13-17th. Click here for your copy.

  1. She’s just precious! I think it is so wonderfully loving of you to want to honor her memory this way! I will definitely get one! Much Love, Deborah

  2. We were so furry sad to read about Prancie last week. She was such an important part of the Cat Blogosphere and had a larger than life personality. I know that I will miss her. And Get Down tonight! How appropriate! Really brings back my youth!
    Sending you virtual hugs

  3. That is so amazing that you had/have those signs.
I used to get musical signs for my Mom and my Aunt…sometimes even now if I hear them, I almost need to check in to see if all is OK with my family.

I love thsat you have that vdery recent picture of Prancie with her book:)

    Purrs!
    ((((( ♥ )))))

  4. Lots of purrs to you. <3 We have a physical copy of Prancie's book, but we are going to download the Kindle version now.

  5. Those were beautiful signs, miss Ellen,I think you will ‘hear’ more of angel Prancie in the future. You’re very ‘connected’💗 When our Bobo was ready to leave our planet, we saw an angel flying by. Granny made a picture of it, because it was so special, but of course the picture is hardly to see with a closed window…sigh…
We already have a copy of your book and will cherish it furrever💗Soft Pawkisses from 💗to💗🐾😽💞

  6. I will forever be happy that Prancie waited for her Mom to be home before she flew to the Bridge…..those connections are REAL as can be. Sweet of you to offer her adorable book for free in her honor. I have to tell you that Teddy is a “prancer” – often he starts doing what we call “the happy dance” when he’s eating grass in the front yard – or when I put him up on the bed in our room and he’s getting ready for a nap or sometimes it’s “just because” but prancing is precious…………I’m sure Prancie was an expert!

    Hugs, Pam and Teddy too

  7. It is great that she will always be remembered through the book you wrote. I had resisted buying children’s books because I had no child to read them to but now that I have a grandson I look forward to reading Prancie’s Prayer to him when he is old enough.

  8. What a very sweet loving post about your dear Prancie. Mom makes me dance to that dang song, and like you, inserts her own lyrics. Dad says she used to do the same thing with Orbit. I don’t know what it is with you humans. We’re keeping you in our thoughts every day.

  9. I love seeing Katie prance too, and I will ALWAYS think of Prancie when Katie does that. XXX

The copy I bought on Amazon has gone to James, my grandson. I have both books.

  10. Sending lots of luffs and hugs to you
    Loves and licky kisses

  11. Prancie will always be remembered♥ Those signs Ellen are amazing. Hugs to you. It was a gift that you got home in time for Prancie to leave. I don’t think I ever got home from jury duty till 3 in the afternoon.

  12. I send gentle purrs to you. She was a special girl who will be remembered by her book.

  13. Ellen,

Mewsic comforts the heart when everything else falls to the wayside. I’m happy to know Prancie’s song played on the radio just when you needed it. I’m so happy that I got to read the story Prancie’s Prayer last year and I hope others get a chance to enjoy it, too. You’re in my thoughts, dearie. Thanks for joining me on the dance floor today! xx

  14. That is a lovely way to honor dear Prancie. We have the physical book too but we’re also gonna download a copy. Hugs from all of us.

  15. Prancie’s book will continue her legacy in a beautiful way. I’m sure that all of those who read her book will feel inspired by her story.

  17. I’ve been sending you healing hugs all since Prancie’s trip to the bridge. I love the signs they send us. I love this song too.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. More healing hugs. ♥

  18. Hugs and purrs.
Just before Chuck left us, and I wasn’t even thinking he was ready to go, I visited a psychic fair and had my bones read. No, not MY bones, but small rocks, metal objects, and such that a psychic read for me after I tossed a handful onto a circle. Immediately, the black cat figure rolled off the table, while all other objects stayed inside. Well, damn, didn’t need ESP to know what that meant! I didn’t tell The Hubby, and may never tell him.

  19. Hugs from us all — and an extra big one from Frodo! So sorry to hear about Prancie though I am glad I got to know her and had enjoyed a copy of her book! Her memory will always be alive!

  20. It is always hard to love such a beloved pet. We hope you are doing better this week. She now lives forever in your heart.

  21. I would have loved to have see Prancie prance to that song. 🙂 Extra hugs for you and tummy scratches for those that are still with you. xoxo

    1. The Phoebe bird chirps Phee-bee, it used to drive my Phoebe crazy thinking someone outside was calling her 🙂 Thank you. XO

  22. Ellen what an absolutely beautiful post…How heartwarming to know the Phoebe bird came calling for her dear sister Prancie.
You are my daughter’s age and oh how she loved KC and the Sunshine band and that song. Many hugs and to you today. OH MY WORD WHAT AN ABSURD BOOK AND AUTHOR TO WRITE….ANIMALS HAVE NO SOUL…I WOULD HAVE TURNED THAT BOOK IN TOO.
    HUGS Cecilia

  23. Many hugs Ellen. Prancie’s book is a lovely way to remember her, I’d have loved to see her do that little dance, too.

  24. Awww! Do a little dance, Prancie Pants, that’s precious.

It’s been a long time since i heard KC and the Sunshine Band. They weren’t big on fancy lyrics, but it was great dance music.

  25. OMG I love “Get Down Tonight”…it is a great disco song Ellen. I can see you singing that to Prancie……hold on to that memory my friend. I love listening to “Shouldn’t Be” the theme song of our fave show “Ice Fantasy”. It helps alot.
Sending you good wishes & hope for the future!
    {{hugs}} Sherri-Ellen & **purrsss** BellaDharma

  26. It is always comforting when we get those little hints that our angel loved one is near us. I apologize that Astrid didn’t do our memory of Prancie post on Sunday, but it is up today. Hope lots of people will take the opportunity to read about Prancie. Hugs and love, Janet

  27. Such a heartwarming post about a precious soul. I do believe we receive signs to ease us into the changes coming. And Phoebe is watching over all of you, joined now by her sweet friend Prancie. xo

  28. KC and the Sunshine Band is one I have not heard in a long time. Great stuff!
I got your book about your kitty and I am sorry to hear about.

  29. So very sorry for the loss of Prancie! If it makes you feel (slightly) better, she’s in good company with all the loved furbabies who’ve crossed the rainbow bridge before her. Every time I hear this song, I’ll think of your precious Prancie! ((HUGZ!))
