It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Hi everyone! Before we get started, we want to give POTP to Sawyer of The Kitties Blue. Teddy’s mom made this nice badge for him. He needs a lot of purrs and prayers as he has seizures quite often and meds don’t seem to prevent them.

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Book Date’s It’s Monday What are YOU Reading?

Rene (It’s All About the Cats) told me about a new book, Bailey No Ordinary Cat by Erin Merryn.  I am so glad she did. It is a small book filled with photos of the author and her 3 little girls with Bailey. I always think Joanie is so good with The Great One and she is, but Bailey was even more patient. In one photo he is being fed with a spoon while sitting in a high chair. You can check out a lot of his photos on his Instagram page, click here.  Even my hubby enjoyed the photos and was amazed at Bailey’s patience. Sadly, Bailey passed away a few months before the book came out, but he can live on through these adorable photos. I am sure each one will make you say awwww…..

This is a different Bailey than Bailey the Boat Cat, he also has a book.

  1. I was just wondering f that was the same Bailey. Good Morning all of you! xx

  2. I’m so sorry about Sawyer. I just love him. I put that beautiful badge on my sidebar.

I can remember what book I’m reading right now and it’s downstairs. Oh well.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday, Ellen. Scritches to all your kitties. ♥

  3. Aww, Bailey. We remember him. He was an awesome cat and we remember some of those photos from when they were taken. Sending more purrs to Sawyer!

  4. This book sounds so sweet. What a lovely way for Bailey to keep bringing smiles to people. We just visited and left more purrs for Sawyer.

  5. Mom says she needs to catch up on our blogs, so that is what we are reading today.

    Sounds like a nice book.

    All paws crossed for Sawyer.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  6. I looked at some of the Instagram photos, and saw they have a new cat now. That’s great they have another one to love, and Bailey can live on in his book. ♥

  7. We are sending purrs and hugs to Sawyer each and every day, and have ordered several cat books via the public library…cannot wait for them to arrive!

    1. I hope she does, I have heard good things about it too. I will get back to music soon 🙂 XO

  8. Ellen,

Thanks for swinging by to boogie with me on Sunday. I hope you and the hubby had a nice Independence Day. The extra-long weekend was very nice to share with DH but now I have lots of work to do today. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your book recommendation. We don’t have any pets but I do enjoy seeing cute photos of other people’s animals. Have a boogietastic week, my friend!

  9. My heart goes out to Sawyer and his family. Sick fur babies are no fun. At the moment, I’m not reading much of anything….too much to do outside! Fall and winter are when I like to cozy up with a good book and an afghan. xoxox

    1. I don’t like to be outside in the summer so I read more this time of year 🙂

  10. We have been sending many, many purrs and prayers to sweet Sawyer. We wish those seizures would leave him alone.

And I am so glad you shared Bailey’s books here. I actually wasn’t aware that he had a book, but I do remember seeing videos of him and his girls over the past few months. What a sweetheart he was, and I was so sad when I heard he gained his angel wings. As a little girl who grew up from a young age with kitties, I just love hearing about children and their special bonds with cats. That’s why I always enjoy reading and seeing the adventures of Joanie and The Great One. They are such a sweet duo!
