It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

We are joining Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays and Book Date’s It’s Monday What are YOU Reading?

I just finished reading Ghostbuster’s Daughter by Violet Ramis Stiehl. Sounds like Harold Ramis was a good father to the author. I was disappointed to read about what a pot head he was though. I also would have preferred to not know about her parents open marriage.

I am currently reading Cats and Daughters They Don’t Always Come When Called by Helen Brown. I was enjoying it up until she wrote of leaving for a wedding. Her son left his cat at her house and had never met the resident cat. They just tossed them together and left. I found that incredibly stupid and dangerous for the cats.

Trouble says hello. I think she is part bat.

  1. Harold Ramis always struck me as a pretty cool character. Thank you for sharing these reads. And cute picture of Trouble! Be well, my dears.

  2. Aw, Trouble is a cutie pie. A great addition to Awww Mondays.

I’m reading Prancie’s Prayer by Ellen J Pilch.

Have a purrfect Awww Monday, my friend. Scritches to all the kitties. ♥

  3. HAHA! Trouble is so cute!

I am currently reading one of Anne Rice’s vampire novels. Seems so fitting with Halloween coming up 🙂

  4. Well, I think Trouble is the right color to be a bat! Currently, I don’t have any books in progress…which is very unusual for me.

  5. I agree about leaving two cats who were not acquainted together unattended.
    Geezzzzzz
You and Pam hug each other for me when you meet this week
    Hugs Cecilia

  6. I am not a big cat person but even I wouldn’t be stupid enough to leave to cats who didn’t know each other for any length of time alone.

  7. I prefer reading fiction over non-fiction, mainly because if the characters do something stupid, I can at least tell myself it’s not real!
I’m currently slogging my way through a book on meditation and mindfulness. It’s kind of boring and repetitive, but I try to stick it out when I start a book. It takes me longer to read it though since I don’t want to pick it up as often!
Once I get through that, I’ll be reading the book you sent me!

  8. Trouble is just so cute!!! Mom would love to be reading a good book, but life it so busy for her these days:(

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

  9. Yikes. With a cat like Eddy at my house, it makes me shudder to think of just dumping an unfamiliar cat in the home and then leaving. I hope the cats in this book survived their first meeting.

Trouble, you look 100% angel to us! Purrs!

  10. Trouble cats never LOL What Am I reading now. Just finished the first edition of Fortress Of Time. I was given An ARC to read. Just started reading The Windows Into Christmas.

  11. trouble…. mouze with wingz iz like a BAZILLION timez better N a ewe noe what with wingz…..ya makez a gorgeouz bat ~~~~~ 🙂 ♥♥

  12. I really enjoyed “Cleo” and “Bono”, but “Cats & Daughters” was a bit of a slog. She has another book “Tumbledown Manor” which I’ve added to be tbr list in Goodreads.

  13. Ellen,

I don’t know why anyone would want to be in an open marriage and the pot? Well, it doesn’t really surprise me. There are a lot of people who don’t think it’s a big deal to smoke pot. I’ve even had some people to shrug off as just a harmless herb but studies have proven otherwise. Trouble looks cute posing as a bat. I guess he’s getting into the Halloween mode, eh? lol

    1. I am proud to say, I have never tried pot or anything else. I am very sad it is legal now in my state.

  14. Did you read Cleo and After Cleo Came Noah by Sandra Brown? I can’t remember if SammyP is part of Scout Book Club. We read Cleo there, and I am now reading the sequel, After Cleo Came Jonah. Is there a hole in that cat tree pedestal? Such a funny photo. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

    1. I am reading them in reverse. This newer one is annoying me. Yes, there is a hole to climb through 🙂 XO

  15. Trouble may be part bat, but she is all beauty.

It is silly to leave cats that have never met alone together, there is bound to be strong language at least and serious injury at worst.

  16. Sounds like you got some doozies there awnty Ellen. Raena hangs upside down a lot too. Scares the bejeezez outta mommy when she does it from the top of the cat tree. MOL Big hugs

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Raena
