It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?

Hi everyone! We are joining The Book Date’s  It’s Monday! What Are YOU Reading?  and Comedy Plus’ Awww….Mondays blog hops.

I am pleased to report that I have had more time to read this week. First off, I have the honor of reading a preview version of Hilary Grossman’s newest book entitled Plan Cee. I am loving it so far. If you are not familiar with her work, I highly recommend you read her other 2 books. They are only $2.99 on Amazon and free with Kindle Unlimited. Click here.

I am also reading Kit Kat and Lucy: The Country Cats Who Changed a City Girl’s World by Lonnie Hull Dupont. I am not even half way done with it yet, but I think it is safe to recommend. It is a true story of how two cats that just showed up at a couple’s home become part of their family. The first cat, Kit Kat is given away to a friend because the husband had allergies, but she walks for several miles to return to them. Cats are amazing.

Sammy is practicing his elevator butt so he can get his badge for it at Cat Scouts.

  1. Sammy, you are looking MIGHTY fine there! I had the privilege of meeting Lonnie Hull Dupont at Blogpaws last year. She’s an incredible woman who truly gets how profound the human/feline connection can be. I haven’t read the book yet (I know … I know … I’m like 100 books behind at this point) … but I’m guessing it’s every bit as amazing as the writer herself 🙂

  2. I hope Sammy can get the elevator butt badge……sadly that wasn’t something my Mom ever captured on film when I was still around – – so that’s one badge I won’t be earning EVER! Glad you’re enjoying your book!!

    Love, Angel Sammy

    1. I am sorry you won’t have that one, but you achieved so much more than my Sammy ever will. XO

  3. There’s a badge for Elevator Butt? We have some award winners here!
We hope you are off for a fun adventure today.

  4. The Country Cat book sounds good. I will check it out along with Hillary Grossman’s books. I am reading My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry by Fredrik Backman… He wrote a A Man Called Ove. I am having a slow start with My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry… I will have to see how it goes.

  5. I love getting new book recommendations like these. And, Sammy, we think you are well on your way to earning that elevator butt badge. Keep up the good work!

  6. Every cat in my house likes elevator butt. It used to make Hope crazy, she’d never want us to stop!

No matter how much i read, i can’t catch up, but i guess that’s a good problem to have, right?

  7. Ohhhh Amber will be adding those titles to her ‘to read list’ fur sure!

  8. I don’t do elevator butt, but peep thinks that one day i will, when I’m more socialized! Thanks for the recommendations, the first really piques my interest but with so many good books out there I think I’ll just have to add it to the list for a Christmas present. MOL.

  9. The Kit Kat and Lucy book sounds interesting and we’ll all about cat books here. Our Mom is reading several How to Speak French books for her first ever French class. Sounds like she has marbles in her mouth but she promises she will get better before she turns seventy, or maybe eighty! MOL!

  13. Hi, I’m new to the cat blogging world and hoping to make some friends! Hope you don’t mind me stopping by 🙂
I just so happen to be reading a kitty-themed book at the moment. It’s the first in Lilian Jackson Braun’s The Cat Who… series. I’m sure you’ve heard of them, they’re probably the best known books which have a feline lead. I first read it years ago when a friend left it behind after a vacation. I really loved it so I’m revisiting it now for a cat-themed book review.
(ps I’ve followed you on twitter…hopefully you’ll “see” me around the blogosphere!)

    1. Nice to meet you, I followed you back on Twitter and I also followed you on Instagram and Pinterest, I still need to get to Facebook. That is a great book series, I have read a few of those.
